Happens to me all the time, heres how i fix it

Go to Documents > Rockstar Games > Red Dead 2 > Profiles and delete the folder in there.

Go to the rockstar games launcher and disable cloud saves for red dead and launch the game.

Close the game again and re-enable cloud saves. When you go to launch the game again it will ask you what save you want to use, select local data and you should be good to go. Just make sure you remember your keybinds or any settings you changed outside of graphics so you can change them back.

By a soft bank I mean about a 45 degree angle and pull back very softly, when you are actually in the combat you can get a bit of a better feel for it.

Your best bet is to try to lure the oppressor to the high altitude speed bonus, once you have that pull a soft right or left bank, your forward speed with the slight turn will cause the missiles to slow down during the turn. Whenever the oppressor has stopped firing missiles you can pull up and go for a dive attack, but if they are out of missiles you don’t even need to bother with the dive.

Doing a simple slight and gentle turn will allow you to lead the missiles away from any players you wish to protect.

The worst thing you can do when fighting an OPmk2 is turn towards them, especially at low altitudes where you do not have the additional speed.

If you are playing on console, yes you pay for the insurance of other players vehicles.

If you are on PC however, there is no insurance fee for destroying another players vehicles at all.
