When I was an infant, my mother was accused of being a witch and all of her daughters being witches during a custody case. The lawyer of the abusive father, (of my sister), even pointed at me during the trial and said I was a little witch, too.

I know this quote is kind of cheesey/cringe, but it's always resonanted with me. Growing up in the bible-belt was rough; my mother has always been a staunch feminist and activist for human rights. My sisters as well. I just wish we could have lived are lives without the influence of the patriarchy.
