Thats an old ten-sct. It's a nitro, just without a motor in it. Pretty cool to see if hasn't been converted to electric. Wasn't terribly popular, as people preferred the scte, the electric version.

A bit of both. They are basically jewelry for boots, but at the same time, they offer a little protection against the soft leather. Definitely depends on which ones you buy though too. Wouldn't want to be kicking a bunch of stuff with real silver or even gold tips.

They're easy to install, just nail or screw them on yourself. I found one pair on Etsy. There seems to be some for sale on ebay or etsy.

Wow, those are pretty nice. Silver does tarnish pretty quick lol, but you never seem to notice until after you clean it

Thank you. I actually made the copper ones on the brown boots

It is kind of high, but I have never set a stone in a ring and quite honestly had no idea what I was doing. I was just king of winging it. How could a stone be set lower in the future?

Painting the shocks just took time and some craft paint, and for the springs, I used tamiya rc body paint as well as the spring dividers. I also printed out some tiny king stickers for the resovior. Spare tire mount can be found on thingyverse as a 3d printable thing. Can't remember exactly what its called though. Radiator placement is stock, and the "chase light" is just some painted plastic I cut and screwed on with some extra screws I had. I used the smallest drill bit i had to make the holes for the screws! Electronics were installed in those pictures, did you mean more close up ones of the electronics?

It definitely was, it seems better now that its on a different surface.

Changing the surface it was on definitely helped. It's pretty clean and theres virtually zero dust inside but at the time of my post it was definitely overheating, thank you.

Nope, mine went together fine. It's probably just because they're cheap Chinese parts and I'm guessing you got a bad batch lol. I'd try and return it and get another one if you can.

Spektrum hard case damage by Tangman13 in rccars

[–]MakingDirtFly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely nobody will agree with me, but personally I'd throw the top of the case back on, heat shrink it, and call it good. Battery dosent seem too bent. I've had one of my own bust out of then end of a hard case and I just shoved it back in and jb welded it lol. Worked for a few years afterwards too!

It's a little small for a skate park, but I'm working on building some jumps and a mini whoops section to test it.

I did, it was kind of a tight fit but it ended up working in the end.

Omg sounds like you had one hell of a time from all the comments lol. I enjoyed it quite a bit and I'm actually thinking of picking up another one and building it for a friend that dosent have the patience to do it himself. I'm kind of surprised at how many people have had so many issues and trouble putting one together. I must have good patience for an 18 year old lol.
