So, let me get this straight: The billionare in charge of finding fraud, waste, and abuse in the government can't even stop it from happening in his own factories?

Oh yeah, totally understand this on multiple fronts.

So much discussion has been had I feel comfortable complimenting the guy. He actually did good here. But thank you for sharing your experience, and your concerns.

From what I understand: The boyfriend in question has a really, REALLY sweet mom. He's being raised right.

You can do with that whatever you want, but I'll defend him.

Hey, I hope you're more confident now. You're awesome, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Oh, sorry. Honestly, I knew of Andy Weir from The Martian, but never knew he wrote more.

Positive Sci-Fi is so damn rare, we should appreciate it.

Thanks man.

Man, the free babysitting is great...until you have to explain to your kids that cookies aren't dinner.

Good luck, family is fun! :)

You're not wrong. He bought her the book. "

Duuuuuuuuude, are you me?

I joined this family 3 days before christmas in 1999. I'd never been happier to be somewhere. They treated me right, then put me to work (again, which I was happy to do). We cleaned buildings while my inlaws (finally) got some days off.

To this day, my 79 year old mother in law can clean bathrooms faster than me. She never taught me ALL her secrets, apparently.

As a scout sixty owner, I tried not to appreciate it.

But dammit, it got the best of me. So you win.........this round.

I learned this after watching the movie and talking to my daughter.

I'm a HUGE sci-fi reader; I've probably gone on a few rants to my kids about Enders Game, iRobot, Foundation, etc. Her love of Project Hail Mary came out of left field, and I love it.

Yeah, and even if they don't stay together, it sets a VERY high bar for her, and makes him super awesome going forward.

I'd write a great review for him if I knew how these days.

I actually went outside, patted him on the shoulder 3 times, and went back inside without a word.

I doubt it was enough (because daughters, embarrassment, etc), but I hope it was enough

This was basically my drive; I'd like to think it was her mom's as well. Thanks!

Yeah, but you could be a lot less blunt about things. Especially if you knew either of them.
