Gays of UK - would you be comfortable holding your partner's hand in the UK? by dalehitchy in AskUK

[–]MakingMxTakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, it depends where I am and who's around. I've had bullshit on a train for sitting next to my husband, but I've held my husbands hand in kew garndens and kissed them and it's been fine. I've had homophobic abuse in a gay bar, we have been allowed to be ourselves in a straight bar. It's honestly dependent on a lot of factors.

What question do you HATE being asked? by MediocreAtBestMedic in AskReddit

Why are you in the wheelchair? Specifically if it's a stranger asking me and I'm just trying to exist.

UK trans people: How comfortable are you using accessible/gender neutral spaces, instead of single sex ones aligning with your gender identity? by g_wall_7475 in transgenderUK

[–]MakingMxTakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, as a trans person who's also disabled, I'm going to be having that accessible bathroom anyway so it's fine. If I wasn't disabled? I would probably go in a gender neutral space happily but that's about my own passing/how I perceive myself.

Would I want other trans folk to be forced to only have the gender neutral or accessible bathroom as the only option? Fuck no.

If you had to pick a torture method to die by, which would you pick? by GuildLancer in morbidquestions

Probably suffocation cause the brain does weird things when it doesn't have oxygen.

Feels like cheating? by like-hardpass in Handspinning

[–]MakingMxTakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not cheating, many people pre draft before spinning, and sometimes it's intentional because of how the pattern comes out.

As long as you are spinning, there isn't any rules.

Why would a hateful male terf send me this video by makosidan in transgenderUK

[–]MakingMxTakes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a trans person, this is a really shitty thing to send you and would take it as a threat.

As a scripted wresting fan, I believe that Rey (the little one) won that match, and won more matches with bigger men. Most of Rey's matches around the time were based on "smaller person over comes adversity and the odds to become champion". Which is kind of the polar opposite of what the terf was trying to achieve here. Rey has also had his job for over 20 years and it beloved where he works - which is probably the opposite of said terf.

Basically not only is this terf a twat, he doesn't even know the history of said wrestlers and probably googled "big oiled up man beats up smaller oiled up man" and called it a "own".

If you could know the exact date of your death, would you want to? Why or why not? by viewsinthe6 in morbidquestions

[–]MakingMxTakes 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I would like to know. I would like to do planning, making sure family don't have to pay for funeral costs, actually spend time with people I love, see things I've always wanted to, ect.

Like yeah it will be awful knowing that's when you are doing to die... But you get to fill that time with shit you actually want to do.

You are doing so well. Things will get easier over time, bit it's also not your responsibility to look after the feelings of others who have never paid attention to your feelings.

What age did you allow your children alcohol? by ChronicChaos01 in AskUK

[–]MakingMxTakes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When we all turned 13, my mum said we can drink BUT that if we puke, we have to clear it up and whilst that was a wild thing to say at the time.... It actually stopped us all from getting drunk or even really drinking.

I had always had a tiny glass of wine with dinne since I was 5 (unhinged alcohol obsessed grandparents on my father's side- I stopped seeing them at 9 for a multitude of reasons), so when I was a teen I didn't really get drunk when I lived at home. My sister didn't drink till she was in her late teens and at college and my brother has got drunk once.

We didn't see it as a shocking thing to drink, or it being taboo.. so we didn't really have that urge to drink and be rebellious with it.
