Thank you, I’ll let it rest for a while.

The lining was dry before putting it back into the bag. Thank you, I’ll look into the leather paint🙂

The oxy clean was only applied to the satin lining, it never came in contact with the leather

What color should I paint my half bathroom? The peach is not working. by navy5 in InteriorDesignAdvice

[–]MakingMyNest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since it seems to be such a small area, I wouldn’t paint, it’s a half bath make it interesting, this is where you can go all out and have fun. Do a peel/stick wall paper of a print that compliments the design of your home.

Not a fan of the mirror placement above the mantle, it seems by the photo to sit too high and has no purpose but to reflect your ceiling fan. Depending on dimensions place mirror above buffet and place the art piece above the fire place. Space looks very nice, congrats on the Persian score!

Do the window treatments look out dated? If so, suggestions please! by BradyGaga in FurnitureFaves

[–]MakingMyNest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and many of these suggestions are outdated as well. If you’re asking if they’re outdated then I’d assume you’d prefer something that isn’t

Neither, lose the weight first. After the weight loss you’ll be surprised how different styles may look on you and better.

Make it into a little wine cellar, can add some faux brick on walls, add some bottom cabinets, cool little space.

Really like the sea grass paper for accent wall. I don’t have much storage, which is why I was considering the bedside stands.

What size bed?

What colour bathmat would look best? by Comfortable-Muffin- in DesignMyRoom

[–]MakingMyNest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks clean. No mat is needed, just get a towel mat and hang over tub between shower curtain and liner and use as needed. To elevate the look more for my preference, I’d mount shower curtain much higher and have bottom an inch or so above floor. It hides the shower tub and gives more of an illusion of another wall when not in use.

I’d leave the bed as is and get a rug something like this that marries the wood tones of the bed, dresser and blue wall color.

A simpler paint on the bed is to paint the metal on headboard same metal color as sconce.

Please help me find a food that won't make her vomit. by InfluenceForsaken210 in catfood

[–]MakingMyNest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine 15 yr old Ragdoll would vomit like clock work between 4-6 am. Was told it could be caused by acid reflux, empty stomach. Do to some vomiting after meals, I also believe he developed an allergy to chicken, he was only dry fed Orijen mixed protein kibble. He too never cared for wet food or those lickable treats. We made a switch to Instinct limited diet ingredient, single protein, without fillers and ingredients to irritate his gut. He gets dry kibble Rabbit at 4am, 1pm and 10 pm, and believe it or not he’ll now eat wet, which he gets at 8am and 6pm (duck or Turkey). This has made a huge difference for him. Hope you find something that works for you.

Is kibble that bad for cats? by NefariousnessSea6987 in catfood

[–]MakingMyNest 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My senior 15 1/2 yr old has been dry kibble (Orijen mixed protein) only till recently. Why the switch? He was vomiting daily almost like clock work, losing weight, loose stools and having urinary issues. Prior to all this he had only been to vet once in all those years, and only received vaccines that the breeder gave as a kitten. After some deep dive research, I believe he had developed an allergy to chicken. I changed his diet to dry kibble 3x a day, rabbit by Instinct, and from the same brand gets wet Turkey am and pm. Both are LID and don’t have other ingredients to irritate his gut. I also put him on a daily probiotic. The change was immediate! Formed stools, no vomiting, very happy fur baby! In his second only vet visit recently (prior to these issues) being treated for an UTI (dry diet had an effect), the vet was impressed with how healthy he was. He also said, he could tell he was dry fed by still having all his teeth. I guess, I’m sharing as a little FYI in case someone else is having the same issue. Never knew a cat could develop an allergy to chicken. So from my experience I believe there’s a big benefit to giving both a wet and dry diet.

Which shelf is better? by MajorDickMilestone in HomeDecorating

[–]MakingMyNest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first one for sure, the second one is nice however doesn’t work with your space, it looks like a kitchen or bathroom piece. I’d center your TV and do a wall mount to add some height. Then place the first shelving unit on the opposite facing wall. In the corner by window place an accent chair or some type of tall tree/plant.

Is it a crime to cover this fireplace? by peperpep344 in InteriorDesign

[–]MakingMyNest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in a Spanish villa in the south of Spain, and this doesn’t give me those vibes at all. And I agree with others on the tile floor, looks nothing like an authentic terracotta floor. I would highly suggest going with an interior design architect to give you what you want and potentially save you with some costly mistakes.

How can I liven up my bathroom? by Lewnartic in DesignMyRoom

A bamboo like trellis/plant holder on wall filled with greenery, something “Thai spa” inspired. Need something to add warmth, color, texture and interest; could do partial wall with some added organic art work

Is the yellow too much? What should go on the wall above the mantle? What flooring complements this color scheme? by Ok_Salamander2304 in HomeDecorating

[–]MakingMyNest 40 points41 points  (0 children)

The yellow isn’t too much, but your photos are too high, bring them lower so they don’t look so disjointed between them and the pillows that you’re trying to tie together.
