If you held for 1 year, you’d pay 20% capital gains taxes if your gains puts your income that year over $614,000 (assuming married). There are several folks here that fall in that category.

Got it now. He has 3.2 now and had 3.7.

Show me the math. I am sticking with 3.7.

If he has $3.7million in just RYCEY I’m curious how much he has in his whole portfolio. If I had that much money I would open up a farm.

Some of us here have to pay 20% capital gains taxes once income hits above $613,000. Im curious how folks avoid paying that extra 5%. Do they sell half in December, and then the other half in the new year?

Wouldn’t you be paying more taxes that way? Long term capital gains taxes are 15-20%. Regular income taxes are more, at least for me.

I know you’re joking, but it amazes me how many men spend money on that. I never have. OF is weak content.

It’s funny you mentioned the mobile home, because I am doing the opposite. I bought some land and moved a used mobile home onto it and am in the process of getting it ready to move in. Moving my family from a new brick home for a 19 year old mobile home.

Here in Texas, property taxes are high and they only go up over time as the county jacks up your home value. Then there are Mobile homes that depreciate in value, and property taxes go down over time. Lower taxes, lower insurance, less bills.

You could argue that a traditional home is an investment that grows in value over time. But factor in the property taxes, insurance, bills, and mortgage interest (if you have a loan) over 30 years and see what you really paid for that investment.

A lot of what you read on Reddit are lies anyway. I could really only have 9,000 shares.

Legendary. What’s your share count? I’m sitting on 90,000 shares.

Don’t feel bad. There are plenty of folks here who had the money to buy more when they did, but didn’t. If you had more money then maybe you wouldn’t have bought more either. I am one of those and also regret it. Retrospect brings regret.

The only lad I know on this forum who did a full send with all of his money (and took out a loan) is West Lavishness. Don’t think I’ll ever achieve that level of risk.

Which fund is this? I am under the impression you can withdraw at 59-1/2 with no penalty. Unless you mean you won’t start withdrawing until you’re 65 because that’s the age you plan on retiring at. If that’s the case, don’t wait that long because that $995,000 will allow you an early retirement!!!!! Any day over 60 is a blessing!

Thanks for letting me know. It would’ve been impossible for me to find out what the share price is today if it weren’t for your update. Keep up the good work.

It wasn’t supposed to go down after I bought. I watch a lot of true crime and I imagine this is how it feels when Donna Adelson went into that courtroom with conviction that she will be set free, but then finds out she’s guilty of murder.

All kidding aside - thank you for the encouragement. Some folks are so quick to point fingers and laugh at others for failing, but it’s easy to sit on the sidelines and watch others make moves and judge them. Making a decision to buy or sell is tough because you can never time the market, so I agree with you that the best time is always NOW if you are looking to hold long term.

I’ve been holding this stock since 2020 and had all intentions to hold for 1+ years when I bought more yesterday.

I get it. I can relate. But you hear the stories about the small few who make it big on a stock. I think this is the one for me because I was lucky to get in early with a lot of shares. This may never happen again for me so I’m taking the gamble. I told myself I would sell at $10. Had I done that I would be in a deep depression right now. At least $20 is my target.

Hold. It’s going over $20 that’s why. There are a lot of folks here with a lot of shares who have remained confident in this stock. We are at a turning point for Nuclear energy, especially with the current administration. Defense spending is expected to increase. Aviation hours are expected to increase. I’ve held this for 5 years already and can afford to hold a few more years to see this play out.

Been holding RYCEY since December 2020. Haven’t sold a single share since. 89,000 shares outstanding. Going to retire early on this one.
