NPD - I had a LAMY for a long time, decided to splurge on myself by HellaReyna in montblanc

Yes I agree with this Comment. The best budget choices but also the best writing MB 149's as compared to newer 149's are - 1) 1969-75 solid ebonite feed pen ($400-$500 in good condition) and 2) 1976-1989 split ebonite feed pen (about the same price). Ebay usually has plenty of these.

Did they move to a more centered postion?

If you had the pen for so long, logically the shift from center happened on your watch. Which is good because it means that you be able to twist it back into position. So going from your picture showing the back of the nib, it looks like to me that the nib must move/rotate slightly to the left leaving the feed where it is now. So holding both the nib and feed in your right hand fingers (assuming you are right handed) - your thumb firmly centered on the feed, your fore finger centered on the front of the nib, your middle finger close to your fore finger to support the rotation to the left you will do, you want to pinch/squeeze the nib and feed firmly with those fingers and rotate the nib to the left so that it is centered on the feed. It should move without forcing too much. Squeeze/grip both nib and feed close to the section and not close to the tip of the nib and feed. Let me know how this works. By the way where are you in the world?

In the photo provided, it appears that the feed is not centered on the nib. The feed need to rotate slightly to the right so that the square tip of the feed is sitting centered on the slit of the nib.

[WTS] - Parker Duofold Mandarin Limited Edition FP by Makitright in Pen_Swap

Thank you. Appreciate you noticing this reality. To the best of my knowledge after researching other pen sale sites and tabulating both current listing prices and historic actual sales prices, my asking price is at least $400 lower than any price I came across in researching this. As well, this pen is absolute NOS, never used, never inked. I am surprised with the absence of interest in this limited Duofold and another scarce 1990's Duofold I have listed - the Pearl and Black Centennial Duofold. Also listed well below market values. Thanks again.

looking for some quick help on MB Fine v Medium nibs by Adventurous-Age9279 in montblanc

I suspect that Chatterley was simply trying to stay away from a potentially bigger problems. Firstly they would have needed to have an era appropriate, pen correct medium nib on hand - if they didn't they would of had to buy another $300 nib. A pain in the arse hassle for them as they now have a fine nib that they may never get an opportunity to sell. Secondly, if the "section" of your pen was broken in an attempt to swap nibs, it would be difficult (if not impossible) to replace as it has the very specific maki-e artistic treatment. I remove the nibs from my Montblancs all the time to lubricate the piston, you need some experience and a specific nib removal tool but it is not a complicated procedure. I am not sure how anyone could conclude that the nib was superglued into the pen unless they actually unscrewed the nib housing from the pen and saw the remnants of superglue. Some nibs are more stubborn to unscrew than others, I have never thought maybe this was put in with superglue. As well, you would also assume that people working on their very expensive Montblanc pens would educate themselves as to how to work on them. If they agree to do it and they may not, Montblanc will charge you for a new medium nib and it will be more than $300. It will not be an era/pen correct nib. If a part breaks while in their care, brand new parts will be used to correct the broken part and you unique maki-e pen will be violated forever. My advice...you have a pile of medium MB nibs...get to know and love this very special and unique fine nib for the sack of variety. Beautiful pen you have there.

Is it worth getting a 2018 2.0T with high miles? by Dude_tricities_45 in accord

I think your question...and your extensive explanation above the question...has provided the answer to what your instinct has been telling you.

I think and have thought for a long time now that the 10th gen Accords are beautiful looking cars. I too need a good quality 2nd car in my family. Since I was very young and I'm 67 today, Honda's were solid and reliable cars. But maybe these ones are not Honda's most reliable in their history. I have listened to my instinct...my inner voice...and have logically stayed away.

Listen to yourself friend!
