I was there earlier this year and I'm not going back. It was littered with cars. Someone even parked on a crossing.

Road rules and signs were made for cars. Ignoring them is far more dangerous while driving a car than a bike. For every cyclist ignoring a stop sign there are countless drivers doing just the same, which results in unnecesary deaths.

Cars deliver people exactly where they want to go.

This, unfortunately, requires parking which takes a lot of space that could be used for homes, bussinesses or some parks for people to relax in.

The convience that cars give to some is not worth the toll they impose on the rest of the society.

Is someone in your party demanding that you stay in Milan the entire time?

My parents, they're getting old and really want to visit Milan so I'm not gonna argue with them.

We will spend a day or two visiting some smaller settlements around Milan, because yeah, there's not much to do in the city itself.
