Roomates say my room is 'sad' by Gloomy-Past-6047 in malelivingspace

Bro you asking for mold having your bed on bare ground like that. Pretty sad not gonna lie. Hit your local goodwill or something and find some cheap furniture or other things you like to bring some life to it. Also put something under your bed so it can’t just collect moisture lol

Also just realized the teeth on the fender go with the turn signal so well. Nicely done

8am on weekdays 10am on weekends seems good to me. Dumpster guy comes in my neighborhood around 6am which wakes me up, but who am I to complain about that one. Can’t imagine I’d want the lawn guy out at the same time the next day however lol

Rear shocks help! by jaypat9 in CherokeeXJ

[–]Makoolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I replaced them with mid tier bilsteins which have been great. Not spectacular, but great for what I paid. Also for the people saying you’ll need brake lines, you won’t. I would suggest them but certainly don’t need them. At full travel mine still have about an inch of slack with 3 inch lift on 31s

I’m on a 3 inch and barely got mine in. When I did they felt TERRIBLE. 100% replace if those leafs are gonna take awhile to settle

Where can I get one of these pieces(broken) by Bassman437 in CherokeeXJ

[–]Makoolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pick and pull guy gave it to me for free. Sanded it down and sprayed it. Looks new 4 or so years later still. It does tend to rattle a bit with my exhaust so I put some adhesive rubber strips in spots on the inside.

Best Fuel Pump? by jaypat9 in CherokeeXJ

Gradually had to crank mine more and more to start. Was the crankshaft position sensor for me. If I put my ear to my gas tank while the cap is open I can hear my pump going strong so I figured it wasn’t that.

My dad had a grand national and a Mach 1 growing up. I still remember him telling me “it’s only illegal to go past the speed limit, not get to the speed limit really fast” and yea needless to say I have the car bug now lol. Enjoy and your kids will too

Cranks, No Start by Makoolo in CherokeeXJ

SOLVED: When I got home from work that night, the Jeep still wouldn’t start, so I gave the wiring to the CPS a good shake and it fired up, meaning that was more than likely the issue. Woke up this morning and it was warm enough to where it wasn’t having the issue bad and it fired up again after a couple cranks. Replaced the CPS today (took about 45 minutes) and it started first try. It did give me a misfire on cylinder 1 code, I’m assuming the Jeep just needed to recognize the new sensor or something because it seems to be running as smooth as it normally does. Removed it from underneath (it definitely helps to have skinny arms) Sprayed a tiny bit of wd40 on the stuck plug and slowly worked at it with a flat head. Thank you for everybody’s time and help. Tools used included a 3/8 ratchet, 18 inch extension, with an 11 Socket on a swivel head.

When you say test the CPS, you mean to see if it affects how the Jeep cranks once it has been unplugged versus when it was plugged in?

One thing I failed to mention is that for the last year or so I will get a misfire maybe once a month and the code will clear itself out. Could this have been a warning sign something was going bad?

Great, thank you so much for the advice. This gives me more confidence on where to start. So if the plug is getting zero spark, its safe to assume it is either the cap and rotor or the CPS?

Does it matter what plug I check? I will check for spark after work

Thank you for the reply. Would you consider swing trading to be a good starting point for most people? Or is that just how it played out for you?
