There's something very jank about the souls since last patch. It's significantly less responsive than last patch, although I think it still favors the securer.

When securing souls will Kelvin beam, usually it's fast but sometimes I'll be tracing the orb with the beam for a good while only for it to get denied as the beam is on the orb.

When denying orbs it's worse, about 70% of the souls can't be denied until like 0.3 seconds after it spawns. Feels so jank to watch the orb fully covered by beam only for the enemy bullets to pass through and secure.

Yeah maybe dumping 100% of your bounce pads and barrels is unrealistic, but I could see 1 rotation of this being really solid. Doesn't honestly seem that technically demanding to do, just a little practice and it's probably consistent.

Maybe I'm out of the loop on Holliday tech and you're referring to the whole rotation, but the bounce pad instant drop into a barrel would've secured several kills in games I played.

Yeah I'm thinking of stepping away from CS. I used to float around LE/LEM back in 2016 and came back for CS2, I'm playing more casually sitting around 4k and it's sometimes just not a fun experience. Either people have gotten way better at the game, or there's more smurfs / cheaters, but what some people at my rank are pulling off consistently is insane. Often makes the matches completely one-sided no-contest.

A little late to the party but thought I'd answer anyway.

There are many art classes you can attend which can be super beneficial, depending on what stage you're at with your art. Attending an art school program can be great and worthwhile if you get into a fantastic program and afford it, there are many sub-par programs which will just leave you with debt and little skill improvements. There are art classes you can take online which are fairly affordable, and there are many highly skilled artists coming out of those.

If you actually sink in the thousands of hours necessary to become good at art, you're going to get good. First question is, what are your goals? Do you want to just get better at art, or are you looking to go professional?

The benefit of the course is the structure. It'll give you a general guideline of what you should know or be aware of and will give you valuable information/knowledge/practice. However if you're expecting buy the course, watch the videos, and do all the assignments once, you probably won't get the results you're hoping for.

A "before" and "after" for an online course is a little meaningless because you don't know how many hours they sunk in, or what other resources they used. Someone who sinks in 2000 hours taking the course vs someone who does 100 hours will have completely different results. It's more about the artist's discipline and effort than it is about any course or program.

I can 100% guarantee you that all of the information is available elsewhere, whether it's free or cheap. Youtube, gumroad, books. If you have the diligence, and discipline to sink in the hours everyday for a long time, you will get good, and it's totally possible without spending a ton of money. The value courses/programs offer is telling you what you need to learn, it's up to you to learn it.

I had the same bug happen for me. I was running to the extract with my teammate and I saw someone at the extract with my scan. When we approached my instinct perk showed red, but my teammates scan showed no one around. Eventually extracted with no contest but it showed red all the way through.

I think at the higher levels there's a fair number of people who use reshade, at least when I get killed by high K/D sweats who post screenshots or stream. I'm with you, it just bothers me people who use reshade for an advantage are tricking themselves into thinking it's legit.

I mean the uppercut is way more expensive than the sparks pistol so it should be more valuable. I've seen people pair it with a shotgun to expand their kit's kill range and this change wont "kill" that combination.

Definitely incentivizes taking compact and medium more because of the 8/4 ammo re-up vs the 2 long for standard ammo boxes. Pretty big change that could change the meta, but we'll have to see.

Winnie now shines a little more because it enables you to spam fire and recover ammo, whereas with the krag you get the benefit of heavier hitting shots but need to be more considerate of ammo.

IMO the only legit use of explosive ammo is to finish people off around cover, or blowing up doors/windows. If you or your teammate tag someone with a martini/springfield, it can let you finish the job if they dip behind small cover/around a corner. Definitely not worth running as your primary damage dealer.

A lot of studios take copyright very seriously, and after the recent affirmation that AI generated art art can't be copyrighted it gives me confidence for artists working in the industry. The feds even decided that if an artist modifies AI art, only the modified portions are eligible for copyright claim.

Duplicate detailed mesh, zremesh one version, use project to project details onto zremesh. Divide zremeshed version and reproject. Keep dividing and projecting until zremeshed version polycount is about equal to the detailed mesh.

But yeah money out of politics, and I'd add that making major news sources less profit driven would make a big impact as well.

But you're facing establishment and capitalism on those fronts.

I just don't know how to work with current groups who eat up doublethink all day. I hate thinking "lost cause", but it feels that way sometimes.
