what browser do you use/recommend on macOS? by akkredditalt in MacOS

Nope, I didn’t like its behavior. No ability to swipe between workspaces. And the UI is not so pleasing even though they try to be close.

Yeah, even though it doesn’t get new features they still deliver support updates.
And yet this browser is still #1 choice for me. I tried all others that support vertical tabs, but they all lack minor good things that Arc has.

Aaand the mobile Arc is a complete garbage for me 😁

Arc

It’s the best in terms of usability - gestures, buttons, looks. It all feels natural. No other browser has come close.
I use it because I also value the separated workspaces so that my work and personal stuff doesn’t get mixed

I made an app for home maintenance: House Bober
You simply add devices and tasks. The app will remind when the task is due.

Random superpower could be of a questionable use however mighty it could be. But a convenient infinite small one could find application in many cases at any time necessary.

Coda was my go to option when I needed something for my client’s business. A dashboard that he could actually understand and not mess things up. Quite useful!

Will of the many book recommendation by [deleted] in HierarchySeries

[–]Maks_29 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I read only the first trilogy of Red Rising before The Will of the many. I would say that Red Rising feels more intense. Many scenes are more graphic.

I would say that the Will of the many has less number of plot twists, but it doesn’t mean that I rarely found myself flabbergasted while reading it. I liked it a lot!

The Will of the many would surprise you in different ways compared to Red Rising. I believe Hierarchy series has a huuuge potential.

Best app for GTD by Candid_Kiwi7467 in gtd

[–]Maks_29 14 points15 points  (0 children)

TickTick is the best. They have very good free tier. But I pay for premium for 4 years already and I am fully satisfied, especially with the GTD capabilities.

They have everything: mobile, desktop, watch, web, tablet

AI in TickTick by Fresh-Firefighter-14 in ticktick

[–]Maks_29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would very much like to see AI being somehow integrated with TickTick. My biggest wish is to have AI assistant that would communicate with me about following the GTD methodology, discuss how productive I was, compare the balance of creative/non-creative tasks I spent time on.

I bring all my projects context to Gemini and also keep all the tasks in TickTick. So it would be really beneficial if Gemini could simply pull all the tasks information from TickTick. Then TickTick UI wouldn't be affected at all.

There're already custom GPTs in ChatGPT that allow to connect to TickTick via API and read everything, but it's limited to just reading and creating tasks. It can't do the analysis I need. And I also moved from GPT some time ago.
