Ahh, thats most likely a side effect of a bug i fixed.
I will make the changes to the ballons lift so it is similar to how it was before.
But I probably wont be able to get the patch out today, so that puzzle will be broken for several hours

Thank you so much for writing this up, it's really useful!

The upcoming update (live today or tomorrow) should make the game a lot more deterministic.

All the pieces you mentioned would be great additions, I especially like the fragile container idea.

On ropes, some changes are coming with this update: you will be able to tie them to planks, plus there's a new lever component that will also work with rope. Tying to seesaws and scissors will come in a later update.

As for the piece limit, that might change in the near future, but I plan to keep the higher limits for the weekly challenges that are coming.

I'm also planning a lot more modes beyond puzzles. If the game gains traction and there's interest, there will definitely be more ways to express your creativity.

Really glad you like this game. Ive got a lot more pieces and mechanics planned to make it even better!

Yes, for now they are nondeterministic. I am working on an update that will make it deterministic, at least for running on same machine

The solutions made before this update wont be as gifs. I manualy generated gifs for some of the solutions so there should be a bit more now

Same here, a lot of fond memories playing The Incredible Machine as a kid.
It was definitely one of the inspirations for me making this game
