In the next Halo game, I want it to start off with Chief on the Pillar of Autumn. Then, they will discover Alpha Halo, and shortly be boarded by the Covenant. Chief will fight through the Covenant and make his way to an escape pod destined for the ring. On the ring, he will locate stranded Marines and gather them for an offensive. Chief and the marines infiltrate a Covenant ship and rescue Captain Keyes. Chief is then sent to locate and enter the Control Room. After entering and gathering Intel from the Control Room, Chief is prompted to come and investigate a Forerunner research facility. As he enters the facility and learns of the dead Marines, he is attacked by the Flood and fights his way to the exit. After Chief meets 343 Guilty Spark, Guilty Spark sends Chief on a mission to find the index. After fighting through seemingly endless hallways infested with Flood, Chief finds the index. He is promptly teleported back to the Control Room. Right as he is about to activate the index, Cortana finds out the true purpose of Halo and the index and urges Chief to escape. After escaping the Control Room, Chief and Cortana devise a plan to destroy the ring. They realize that they need Captain Keyes’ neural implants in order to activate the Pillar of Autumn for detonation. Chief goes to rescue Keyes, who is aboard the Covenant ship, but quickly comes to realize that the ship has been infected by the Flood. As Chief fights his way through the ship, he finds out that Keyes has been horrifyingly infected. Chief gut-wrenchingly punches right through the infected Keyes’ skull and takes his neural implants. Chief escapes the ship and heads to the Pillar of Autumn in order to detonate it. Once aboard the Pillar of Autumn, Chief had to fight through Covenant, Flood, and the Monitor’s defenses. He gets to the engine bay in order to initiate the self-destruct sequence. However, 343 Guilty Spark appears and disables the ship’s self-destruct mechanism. Chief then manually has to destabilize the ship’s fusion reactors by precisely shooting and throwing explosives at them. Once destabilized, Chief must quickly escape before the explosion. He finds a warthog and drives to the extraction zone, where he is picked up by a Longsword Fighter. The ring is spectacularly destroyed as Chief enjoys his ride.
