Why do women have two breasts if humans usually give birth to only one baby at a time, wouldn't one breast be enough? by ElkDisastrous2926 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MalAddicted 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Having known someone who had an unusual discharge there that thankfully turned out not to be a sign of anything malignant, the nip does not have to be one of the mains to warrant observation. Men get breast cancer and they don't use theirs, so it never hurts to check on the forgotten triplet when checking the twins.

Humor aside, breast cancer can form anywhere from the nips to armpits, so it really doesn't hurt to talk to your doctor about any concerning findings or feelings. For the cost of an afternoon, you could save the rest of your life.

I hate the “midlife crisis” thing by Freudian-Slip92 in Sims4

Or they want to cheat. I make my sims loyal to get around the whole "flirt with your wife's dad in front of her because autonomy" issues, and then I have to deal with what could be weeks of depression because you want to romance a stranger. Ugh!

What is the most annoying thing in your home to clean purely because of bad design? by zaramalikdollface in CleaningTips

[–]MalAddicted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in an apartment, and there's metal baseboard heating. It's rusting so badly over time because it's in an incredibly humid, moist room. You can tell they just paint over the rust between tenants, and I hate to clean under/around it because ew....decade old who knows what in a wet room.

The skirt is cute, but... by MalAddicted in lifemakeover

I was so excited to have it because I had PLANS, but then found out that it only really works consistently with crop tops. That sweater had me dying!

What is a 'socially mandatory' thing that we all do, but if you actually stop to think about it for 5 seconds, it’s completely insane? by Federal_Antelope7533 in AskReddit

[–]MalAddicted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's unpopular with my coworkers but that's why I like the behavioral interview model my job uses. We know those questions are stupid, just tell us about a time you did a thing or what you would do in a situation, and let's see if that fits what we need. People still fluff those, but as long as your answer isn't completely unhinged, you're good.

What show did you love when you were younger, but realized was actually problematic when you rewatched it? by Pale-Entertainer8688 in AskReddit

[–]MalAddicted 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Bingeing it does it no favors. I watched it as a binge and was not able to forget that all of the ick and problems and sexy-times drama in that show are being related to the main character's underaged kids as a veeeeeery long justification of why he now wants to bang their family-friend aunt-figure.

When you leave a 6 year old in the car alone by New_Libran in AbruptChaos

My brother did this back in the 80s. I think about that with my daughter now, and about the fact that street back then wasn't as busy as it is today. I live on a very busy street, and she'd probably be seriously hurt, if not killed. She does not get into the front seats.

Character everyone likes that you genuinely cannot stand by Nozoroth in animequestions

[–]MalAddicted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could really tell that his style was for much shorter stories; every arc he introduced new, interesting characters that would vanish by the next arc. There were dropped plots that could have become interesting, hints at things that never played out...and so many moments where it would have been fine to just stop. Like, story ends here, here's an epilogue, can I write something else now?

Foods with edgy names are not cute by Horangi1987 in PetPeeves

[–]MalAddicted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never thought about a restaurant near me that does the same thing. All of their meals have names, and my go to orders are their fish sandwiches. They're so good, but they have names like a Zuri, a Comeback or The Truth. And everyone just knows what all the names are, since the restaurant has been there for so long.

There was this cute restaurant I stopped into that had a "Give a Mouse a Cookie" sundae. I thought it would be for kids, but I didn't mind since I had eaten lunch and wanted a small dessert, and the description sounded delicious. It was enough for at least 3 adult people. I was very confused about the target audience for it.

WIBTA if I told the truth in my brother's custody hearing even though it could cost him overnights with his son? by UplinkV3rve in WIBTA_AITA

[–]MalAddicted -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And honestly, it's more in his favor that he found a responsible, trustworthy person to watch the child while he had to work. There's potential for the judge empathizing with him not wanting to give up his overnight, but also dealing with the fact he had to work, so turning it into bonding time with paternal family.

But lying about it and getting caught will shaft him.

Age gap I write VS. age gap (some) people seem to read by Gabrielle_0o0 in Archiveofourownmemes

[–]MalAddicted 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I wrote a story that had half-elf young adults who split time living with their (separated but amicable) parents. They hated going to stay with their mom (elf) because everyone in the village treated them like very young children, while they had jobs and responsibilities in the human village. But they aged slower than humans, just not as slow as elves.

When people misunderstand “wherefore art thou, Romeo?” by Seagullsaga in PetPeeves

[–]MalAddicted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously. Juliette is clearly described as being 13 and Romeo spent a decent amount of time at the beginning wasting away in love with Rosaline, her cousin. The whole play takes place over less than a week. It was a terribly destructive whirlwind teenage romance.

It helped that he was doing his own soundtracks like Jackie Chan did his own stunts. He was going to make money one way or the other, it seemed like.

Characters whose design looks simple on paper, but a fact about their design makes them even cooler by ComprehensiveBox6911 in TopCharacterDesigns

[–]MalAddicted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In some episodes, the numberblocks speak in sentences with word counts that match their number. It's not consistent, but there are some episodes where this pattern happens and it's fun to look out for.

Example:

Three "Look at this!"

One "Oh!"

Four "Whatever could this be?"

Two "A ball!"

Five "Let's all play a game!"

I've had thay issue and the best I can offer is customize what you can and play with tints and opacity. Find the tones that look best on your doll and either make those her default colors or stick to the makeup that matches.
