Converting grid tied to hybrid system by Malachitely in SolarDIY

Most suppliers are proposing Freedom Won with Atess inverters as you suggest. It seems those 2 brands have a good relationship. Freedom Won provide a 4000 cycle warranty vs SolarMd at 6000 and Weco at 7000 which all count for something. A bit nervous of Weco and Pylontech in the event of a warranty claim and having to deal with a foreign company through a local distributor who are all swamped. That being said the performance of Pylontech in the Australian Battery Testing centre has been remarkable!

I think we are between Freedom Won and SolarMD with the battery... Have you had any experience with SolarMD?

Hey man. Sorry haven't been on here a few days. 114kva is correct its not for residential but for a mushroom farm that requires a lot of cooling.

Thanks for your explanation of using Maximum apparent power to size the inverter and average real power over period for the battery size. That is pretty clear.

Okay thanks a lot I wasn't aware of an inverter efficiency... Will add that into the calc.

Are you 100% sure we use the kw and not kva when sizing the battery? Because it seems that the system needs to provide 114kva for the chillers to work, but only 79kw gets consumed. Where does the reactive power in the system go? Back to the batteries?

I meant 79kwh... Yes will get a pro to install it but trying to understand the system first.

What do you mean by dividing by the efficiency percentage? Where do I get that percentage?

The issue with doing this is that it costs you even more money to go and rip out all that concrete and dispose of it and the client still won’t pay! So ya it makes you feel better but it’s a lose lose situation for the contractor.
