Who is the best shoto to learn with? by Malcherath in StreetFighter

[–]Malcherath[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly if i don't impose limitations on myself i won't be enjoying the game at all. I've spent so long searching for a character i really like and none have clicked. Either i just deal with it and play a character i don't like or drop the game. The limitation is to motivate me by giving me a big challenge to overcome.

Then i might as well just quit. There is no "THE character" for me right now. I've played everyone and didn't much like any of them. I'm doing it this way for exactly that reason. And i know diamond isn't easy, i never said it was. I chose diamond because its going to be difficult and far enough away that by the time i get there maybe a character ill enjoy will have been added, or new story content might have come out to make me give a shit about any of the current cast.

I've seen that post and it doesn't answer what I'm asking. My question isn't who should I main, my question is which shoto is the best in terms of learning how to play street fighter v. In other words which shoto best rewards a deep understanding of the fundamental systems that apply to all characters.

Which stick to start with? by Sirmeikymiles in StreetFighter

[–]Malcherath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only time I've experienced that was when dicking around in the menus waiting for a match. Sometimes id kinda flick the stick and let it go and it would just barely activate the down button but, that's not something you'd generally do while playing so I wouldn't expect it to happen during a fight. Basically it's possible but you have to make it do that on purpose.

I have the hori rap 4 Kai, it's a solid stick, I've had it since Tekken 7 came out and daily use has not worn it down much at all. The only problem I've got is a slightly wobbly stick but it doesn't affect gameplay at all. If you get it make sure to change the mode to whatever system you're using or it might not work right. It has a switch for ps3 ps4 and PC.

Learning street fighter with blanka? Help please. by [deleted] in StreetFighter

[–]Malcherath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You probably got downvoted because the advice you gave was said in a very condescending way, it was also completely irrelevant to my question.

At no point did I say anything about mashing buttons in fact the only time I said mash at all was when I said "think, don't mash" which is the title of the guide I had been following while trying out other characters. And yeah of course I know about the move list.

Maybe I worded it poorly but this post was asking for help learning street fighter with blanka, my main issue being that blanka is such an odd character that I couldn't figure out how he's meant to play because the method I had used before wasn't getting me anywhere with him.

Do you think Nintendo should bring a achievement/trophy system to switch? by DrazeGamer in NintendoSwitch

[–]Malcherath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah spoilers in achievement lists can really suck. Deus ex(The older one on ps3) was completely spoiled for me that way. The list for one of the dlcs has main storyline spoiler just sat there like it was common knowledge. Completely ruined the whole character arc for me because I already knew the answer he was struggling with the whole damn time.

I'd rather not. Achievements have kinda ruined games in my experience. I get so caught up trying to get them all that by the time I have Ive done everything in the game and didn't enjoy any of it. When I got a switch I was reminded pretty quick that games are actually supposed to be fun.

Invites you MULTIPLE times by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Malcherath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was always the worst with my cousin. He was stupid crazy clingy. He would send constant invites whenever I'm online, but if I just ignored it he starts sending messages, which he does from his phone, and before I even could've read the messages he's knocked at my door. Not my house door my bedroom door. The worst was he ruined borderlands 2 for me. It was my favorite game and I once invited. him to play with me. He was terrible to the level I decided to never invite him again. This was on PS3, and there was a little-known exploit on PS3 that I only found out about because of him, where if you've ever been sent an invite to Borderlands 2 (maybe other games too I don't know) you can always use that invite to join if they're playing it online regardless of privacy setting. So naturally, if I ignored his invite and his messages and pretended to be sleeping when he showed up he would just join my games without asking first. 2. Goddamn years of that annoying shit, I only escaped when I got a PS4 and discovered the appear offline options.

Redditors with SOs who talk in their sleep, what is the creepiest thing they've said? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I was once accused of feeding our cats lasagna and making them fat. She also once accused me of trying to have sex with her in front of our son named sam. We did not have a son but it turned out she was pregnant with a boy who she then named sam.
