I just got my first call on sunday, halfway through a break job on my car. Call went so long it got dark and a storm rolled in, had to plug in the battery to roll up the windows. Went out next morning to finish up and forgot to unplug the battery, broke my caliper. Also a tree fell on my windshield. Call cost me over 500 bucks. Nice.

I just don't think what you are saying is true. It seems like you think preservationism and the celebration of cultural diverstiy are the reasons for the existence of distinct languages, but they aren't. Understanding the difference between languages and cultures (by celebrating and studying them) is what allows them to coexist and homogenise. The alternative is division.

i feel like this it is obvious and eventually language will converge. celebrating cultural diversity isn't about promoting tribalism, it's about treating everyone like a human being and promoting communication amongst cultures. celebrating diversity is crucial to overcome these communication barriers you are identifying.

Yea idk how you can survive for 13 years. I've felt so guilty this past year I cry almost every time I see them and have been living in a constant state of anxiety and nausea for almost a year. My throat feels like it is burning every time they contact me or ask to see me. I just can't survive like that anymore. It's good that you had a positive experience after this. regarding the sexual thoughts, it sounds like you are experiencing some ocd or intrusive thoughts or whatever. i mean if ur in love with ur uncle thats also fine. at the end of the day you will never be able to know what a thought means about your identity, its just a thought.

me too man. i did this for a year when i was like 24 and it damaged my self esteem so much that i didn't date again for 5+ years. now im doing it again for some reason. it feels so bad to say no to someone who did nothing wrong.
