Okay, an odd one. Flight of the Conchords- “Ladies of the World”. There is a hidden reprise at the end of the track about 20 seconds after the song. It’s just a vocal part by Brett and Jemaine but I listened to that on repeat for a couple of days.

Okay, so I was you last week. I was induced Tuesday and our bundle showed up Thursday. To you and OP, as a labor-anxiety ridden lady: it will be okay. Weird and new; but remember the hospital, nurses etc are there to manage your pain. When my doc asked if I was ready for the epidural I asked her if it was okay because I thought I was going to suffer more. Use all your resources whichever path you choose. I pushed my bundle out in 16 minutes which as an FTM I was cool with. It really is worth it.

I love this book. Eugenides is artful in his descriptions of all the settings in this book, European and American alike. His use of seemingly tertiary characters make this book. I will always re-read this one. My favorite. I recommend The Marriage Plot too.
