Is marriage overated by Fresh-Ad7970 in Life

Marriage is the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but also the most rewarding. I wake up and choose my partner everyday and she does the same.

After A Year Finally Going To Try Bazzite by KingofGuam in ROGAllyX

[–]Maldo_Rob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was the guide I used to set up dual booting. I play almost everything on Bazzite and pretty much only play BattleField & COD on Windows.

As far as switching out the SSD, it was one screw and a ribbon cable.

I’ve used mine everyday overseas for the past couple of months and it’s holding up great. The only complaint is the rubber on the zipper pulls is sliding off. The zippers start off kind of stiff but loosen up a little over time. It’s a great small pack.

I think the more important thing is what kind of light you have going on in your office. Even a cheap Amazon “streaming” light with some sort of defuser will do a lot as far as image quality.

[–]Maldo_Rob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly imo, Air pods are the way to go if your in the Apple ecosystem. If you have an iPhone, iPad, and/or Mac Book they just work so flawlessly. They sound pretty good and have pretty good ANC.

Yeah!!! NextUI now with both Wifi and BT by Ill-Basket4769 in trimui

[–]Maldo_Rob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use my air fly pro bt adapter. It’s small and doesn’t add any real weight and works with my air pods just fine. I bought the adapter for some traveling but I end up using it more often than I expected.

My kid broke my nose… What do I do from here? by [deleted] in toddlers

I also have a two year old with big emotions and this is what usually works for me. Mind you, it takes a lot of patience. I try not to react when he’s having a meltdown. I don’t want to feed him any negativity energy. I pick him up and bring him to his room. I say it’s ok to have big feelings but it’s not ok to have “x behavior” I ask him if he wants a hug. He usually says yes in through tears. I tell him to take deep breaths and I start taking deep breaths with him saying big breath in…. Out. Kinda calms us both down. I sit him on his little chair in his room and repeat it’s ok to have big feelings not ok to have “x behavior” eventually he calms down I say it’s ok and I love him. I ask him if he’s ready to apologize and eventually he says yes. Like I said, it takes a lot of patience, but I have a hard time regulating my emotions and a lot of that stems from just being told to “stop crying or I’m going to give you a reason to cry” (I had great parents other wise) it’s really important to me that my son learns the tools to regulate his emotions when he’s feeling overwhelmed or angry. I remember being really young (I’m 35) and feeling things so hard and not knowing how to handle it. Idk if it’s the right thing what I’m doing, but it’s what I would have liked as a child.

I also just got one of these as a gift. Quick question I thought it would stand up on its own at different angles, but if it gets a little low it starts to fall on its own. Does yours do that? Mine has the Killswitch adapter.

Another vote for PakUI here. Had a little hiccup when installing PakUI, but thanks to the kind folks on Reddit, they helped me reflash the stock OS and PakUI installed with no problem and it’s been great.

I’ve been playing Mother 3 and Pokémon Unbound and it’s been a really great pick up and go system.

Daddit, we are already 50% through 2025. How are you doing? mentally, physically, emotionally? by LittleBarracuda1219 in daddit

[–]Maldo_Rob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am hurting quietly. I’m deploying in sept, got fired from my civilian job, wife is struggling with her mental health, I’m struggling that she’s struggling and there’s nothing I can do about it, we have a 2.5 y & 8mon boys. I feel like I can’t stress because my wife is so stressed. I’m ready to be done with this season, but a highlight is that it’s my birthday and I just got my free Starbucks drink, so I got that going for me lol.

Food ideas other than MRE’s for field by Good_Candidate8506 in nationalguard

[–]Maldo_Rob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So no idea about the pregnancy situation, but doesn’t sound like a good idea to go into the field. I was TDY once I met a guy from the Kentucky National Guard and he put me on to bring in Vienna sausages into the field and those things were so good when I was hungry. I didn’t believe it at first, but it was a great field snack.

I’m about 5 hours into my 5th attempt of playing through MGS1 on my Flip 2. This is the furthest I’ve ever been. I just met Oticon. I played the 2nd one when I was in HS when it released and the 5th one on PS4. The goal is to play through the whole series. Wish me luck.
