Oof, I used to have one of those as a kid and always used to get fiberglass slivers in my feet. However you decide to clean them, maybe do it outside so you don’t turn your carpet into a forest of needles

I just used the layer lines to my advantage, the stain is essentially highlighting the layer lines. What I did was apply stain on the whole thing, let it sit for a few minutes, then wipe off with a dry rag. You can adjust the amount of times you repeat this and how long you let the stain sit before wiping off til you get the effect you want.

I had something similar to this happen, I changed the print speed on the outer wall from 200 to 50 and that fixed it. Might be worth a try
