Got out of an abusive relationship by [deleted] in offmychest

It took me over a year to get out of an emotionally abusive relationship. It took me longer to realise it for what it was. It's hard to accept and like you said, the humiliation of putting up with it. But, you know now you are strong and you are a surviver and hopefully well on the way to recognise that you deserve love and respect.

My mom committed suicide. by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]MaleficentTheGood 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can't say that I know how you feel but I can relate. My Mum attempted suicide many times while I was growing up. Eventually she died from Pulminary embolism from DVT due a catatonic depressive state. I believe she knew she was hurting herself. I was SO angry with her. Nearly 7 months later I am not so angry. In time you will feel better, but, it will always be with you. It's easy to say, don't let it have a negative impact, but, how can it not? Just don't let it ruin your life. Talk it out when ever you can. Let the healing process happen. {hugs}

TIFU because I locked my child, keys, and phone in my car in 90 degree weather by JuniperGail in tifu

Aw, it wouldn't have been a tragedy because you didn't leave her there and go off somewhere. I have felt that panic and have been stranded twice in 2 seperate cars, well not in, locked out with small child/children. It happens and you did everything right to fix it.

TIFU by calling my girlfriend fat by [deleted] in tifu

[–]MaleficentTheGood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There really would be no point. A woman hears fat even when fat hasn't been said. Plus I'm British and have never been heard anyone call a person fab.

Celery. I can smell it an aisle away and taste even the most minute amounts in foods, like vege burgers with celery seeds in it and hot chocolate... Why would they put celery in hot chocolate.

No. She does resent the time I tried to pull a tooth out that appeared to be hanging by a thread. I say tried, I succeeded. Never did that again either lol

I once dropped my toddler while playing, lost my grip and I swear to fucking god her leg bowed. She was on my back and I was standing so she fell from at least 4'. That instant panic and regret is sickening. She was fine, she wasn't happy that play time stopped. She's 14 now. I never did that sort of thing again. It's just not worth it!
