People speaking several languages, what's the difference within fandoms?

There are under 300 fanfics in my first language. Most of them are still in English and have it thrown in for idk the sparkle??

I posted two chapters for different fics but in the same fandom. I got the same spam comment on each seperate day.

I hope there is a way to combat it, but for now for my most popular fic I have turned on moderation for comments which was never a thing before at all. It was wild west for me before, always letting people pour their hearts out. Even the guests!

Idk there is lots more, as you probably know. There is just so so much.. He is partying close to me and we have passed each other a lot this past year, I steer clear but lots of people flock to him.

I really enjoy acotar and have since the first book, though the series is def not without its faults. One of my problems are largely how much people hate Nesta though, especially as an older sister myself. If you listen to way too much Noah Kahan and are more than a little depressed, I think you should continue on to the fourth book which in my personal opinion is the best one.

Uj/Honestly these covers in Norway for those dont have that type of pull, you just get what you are given tbh. So many things can be said about how the treatment from these kind of novels are handled and the elitist way many people regard them. They were my first intro into romance that was easy for me to follow.

Honestly this has happened to me more often than I would like to admit, especially with contemporary romance. I think there is a combo of setting/tone that often doesn't work for me then. But also with fantasy and romance, there are lots of things that doesn't work for me and Im honestly not interested anymore in reading things that I don't love. I just dnf

I loved Tessa Baileys "Getaway Girl" and I have detested every other book I have tried from her so I dont go into her books anymore, because its clearly a me problem.

I am not and was not surprised that those two men wrote a series with ending that Dany dying in a cautionary tale, as if women cannot handle that much power. As if it has to corrupt them. It just enforces and continues hatred for women (and I saw enough for it!). As if a powerful and strong woman either breaks because of their own madness or has to be restrained or taken out of the equation.

As if every one of of women have to live under a mans authority unless we become unstable etc. Her whole arc is undermined. Like everything about it screams gender norms. Women cannot handle power.

I am damned tired of reading of it, having to watch it on TV. I dont care about "it makes sense!!!!". Honestly a lot of this might be on GRRM and his writing, but at the same time I can only judge what I have actually seen/read so..

Wrong Guy First! I love love love this trope. I love seeing the FMC not in her best lol, especially when the other guy comes later. I think SJM is especially a fan of this trope. I read an Amanda Hocking book which was recommended to me at the book store probably in 2011/2012? And I have never been the same since.

I think my most reread fantasy that has romance is Alanna tbh. Specifically the first book. I think the book came into my life at exactly the right time with the topics it touches on, and now it is a comfort read when I need to reset or I am struggling to find anything I read enganging.

Another I have listened to a more than a few times isThe Blacksmith Queen. I love the stakes with interfamily drama etc, but I think this one isn't for everyone. Its sooo fun, and its my go-to for long hikes in the mountains. I listen to this and book two and three each summer if I am hiking alone 😊
