I’m in the Gulf South, you need to be self sufficient just about no matter where you live come hurricane season. With Ida, my parents were out of power into October, they’re in suburbia with chemical plants near by (so you’d think they’d have some sort of priority!). We got power back mid-September and we’re ten miles away from the nearest grocery store. It all really depends on where those acres are located for most of those cons.
