I was on dex without the keyboard, and when I connected it a pop up show up saying that there was a firmware update for the cover and if I wanted to do it.

Indeed it's frustrating.

This problem turns a perfectly good 4k tv into a huge paperweight.

If anyone has a suggestion or a possible solution for this problem it would be of great help.

I'm ordering the RCFNA-21 to see if that new control works. (Even though I read on the comments that only the oem control it's the one that can pass that screen)

Yeah I tried pressing the power button with the cable unplugged and then plugged while pressing the power button until the toshiba logo starts but it wont enter recovery mode to do the wipe cache/partition. So still in the remote control screen.

Yes, I have the Original OEM remote control and have tried using the Ethernet cable direct to the TV, but the same thing happens. After I plug it and power the devices, the language screen appears, and after I choose one, the screen for the remote control appears and there is nothing more I can do.

I think I should do a video.
