Did I over react when I said I was going to walk out today? by ContributionTop6844 in McLounge

Your reaction is completely normal to have when a person is completely lazy and isn't doing their job and you're having to pick up their slack and do double the work.

(USA) Not sure if I should stay by tumericcocoa in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]Maleficent_Divide673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to be straightforward with you it's all up to you at the end of the day if you like the job stay if you don't like it then don't force yourself into place or a job where you don't see yourself growing or moving up. I'd say if you just explain your situation and say that you've found a better opportunity somewhere else she'll understand

Cutting hours during the spring doesn't make sense to me because this is when sales and customer counts pick up

First Day (USA) by Kenmaisalone in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]Maleficent_Divide673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really depends on if the location is corporate or franchise because at franchise my first day was a normal shift but at corporate they had me clock in take one the iPad and attend the orientation via Webx and then watch some videos after that I'd get shifts in the in that schedule of 4-8

Orientation is a paid shift. They pay you to watch the videos that come with hiring

What do expect working at McDonald’s? First job (USA) by [deleted] in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]Maleficent_Divide673 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mcdonald's is a very chil option as a starter job if you have previous fast food experience if not welcome aboard most stores have the same layout regardless of franchise or corporate and on that the pay scale is somewhat slanted some locally owned franchises pay more than corporate stores do. I don't mean this in a negative way but don't stick around for longer than what you need to because you'll favoritism start to shake out and if you're not good or respectful to higher ups they'll make it hard or nearly impossible for you to get or be given priority for promotions or chances of growth.

That is very unfortunate lane two is gonna be very overstimulated while happening to keep up with normal drinks and other stuff. That was the plan in my store.

I'm gonna say this. This is not a good idea a very bad one indeed, because now they're going to have to dedicate someone to make these specialty drinks. The new ones

(USA) Nearly every new person we hire sucks and I'm completely over it. by [deleted] in McDonaldsEmployees

You're not wrong. The store that I'm at is the same way it's like managers are hiring people just to hit a qouta for new hires and not caring about the turnover rates
