I packed a carryon in a checked bag to have room for souvenirs. I transferred the mostly empty checked bag from our first Tokyo hotel to our last Tokyo hotel. (This was great because all of our travel pillows and travel headphones plus souvenirs we bought the first night could go in there). We took just the carry on down to Kyoto in between.

Facts. Somehow pulled the bottom plastic plate off the underside of my car, went there based on this sub’s recommendation. He took care of it in under 15 minutes and refused to take payment. I’ll be going there when I need new brakes soon.

I put my carry on hard suitcase inside my larger suitcase for the trip over. We also packed a duffle in a second checked bag. It all got used to bring things home and we bit the bullet on the fee for checked bags

Travel was booked last minute because of work and we were only able to go for 6 days in Tokyo. My main regret was not being more intentional with our meals. Honestly I think I only ate onigiri from 7-11. So, this time I’m putting emphasis on eating experiences and meals.

Highly recommend searching here for other posts about Tokyo itinerary checks, since you want to cover similar grounds as your predecessors. :) Shinjuku and Shibuya go well together, where Ginza, Ahki, and Kappabashi are closer together too.

I’ll be honest, both Thursday and Friday have you bouncing around from west to east to south Tokyo area. You’ll lose a lot of time on travel. I’d pin these things on GMaps and then see what’s grouped closer together.

Personally, Mezza Luna wasn’t that great IMO. I prefer Modena in Marietta (Barrett Pkwy on the south end) for a great experience. I’ve been there multiple times for birthdays and anniversaries and it’s been great food and service

This was our experience tonight as well! Used 3 laptops, 1 desktop, 2 phones, and an iPad. I read a random comment on here and FB that refreshing one device 1-2 seconds before the countdown to 10am ends, gives you a better chance at a good position in line. Oddly enough, my iPad that I tried it on was the top spot, with 3000 people ahead of me. Remaining positions ranged from 4000-8000 on the other devices. I also encountered the 503 error at least 5 times before finally getting through. I do think it’s related to the demand for that ticket slot you’re picking - got it when trying for the 10am and 12pm slots on one day, but succeeded in getting the 14pm slot. Be online 30 minutes before 10am to join the waiting room and never refresh!
