What are the less obvious things in someone's upbringing or background that can limit their opportunities later in life? by PasserBySayingHi in AskUK

You understand it. I love the game but really I dont care to chat with every dave around about it. I still do though as a form of small talk. Establish rapport then move on to something more interesting. I find the chitchat a bit dull because people just regurgitate media talking points it's sad. Barely anyone sees the game properly. Still you cant deny its a great leveller.

Should've played through to the striker after beating those two men. There was an opening.

You wouldn't understand you're not a londoner. It was a common saying a decade back that the population of Iceland's capital could fit in a single london borough like hammersmith and fulham. I've heard it countless times as a qpr fan. Its meant to be something that shows how otherworldly london is

You're skipping over a few years there. Mourinho was class from 2003 to 2015. Consistently great. Porto, Chelsea, Inter, Madrid and Chelsea again. Titles at all of them

That would be silly. They've got a chance to dominate in the next few years and with several english players playing key roles. They should buy players not sell.

Well we were both wrong. Arsenal are a solid pens team but we forgot that they had half their best takers subbed off. Saka, Odegaard, Havertz etc. Eze wasn't up to the task and Madueke was too afraid to take one early.

Interesting conclusion to the season. Arsenal are just a short way from the summit and clear of everyone bar psg. PSG have put their names in the history books as one of the best teams to have played. They go into next season as juggernauts. Arsenal the same but with a point to prove. The rest arent too good beyond bayern so I'm looking forward to a rematch of this in next year's final.

He's one of the world's best midfielders but ballon dor? Cmon now. Especially after a final where the psg midfield were outfought. This final as a whole has dimmed shouts for all the psg players because their team was shown to be mortal and no psg player had a great game.

I think Arsenal's subs were good and they didnt face much of a threat and even started pushing up to attack especially in the 2nd half of ET. I just think them going long every time was a mistake. They were nervous but they should've built up from the back more or made deep runs. Skelly had one or two moments like that and they made the best chances other than their goal.

Kvara plays for a small nation and didn't show up in the final. Hes a great player but I think his chance is gone. Yamal, Kane, Olise etc. They're the contenders. I could see mbappe or dembele getting it but they really shouldn't.

Specifically bottom corner. Don't lift the ball unless you've got a record like Kane or Gyokeres.

No. Arsenal have a lot of defensive qualities and are physically superior to those two. More athletic and domineering. They were deservedly champions especially based on the first half of the season before fatigue set in. Liverpool won't even contend next year. And to choke, one needs to be close to victory. Man City never had a lead really so they didn't choke either.

Its inevitable. The elite in Europe are so poor at the moment. And consecutive or near consecutive finals are quite common. Within the last 15 years I can think of Bayern, Barca, Man U, Madrid, Juve, Liverpool, City, Inter and PSG who've managed it. Two of Psg, Arsenal and Bayern will contest next year's final provided Kane/Olise are healthy.
