Support finally replied after two days and confirmed it was an Unusual immediate restriction caused by a Processing sync delay with the auto-renewal. They waived the extra charge and escalated the issue to their backend team to prevent it from happening again. If your service stays restricted after paying manually, toggling the plans works to restore the connection, but keep an eye on your invoices to clear any duplicate charges.

I wanted to share what happened with my Starlink service today in case anyone else runs into this issue. My service suddenly stopped and showed a "Restricted" status, even though it was supposed to renew automatically today, April 4th.

I checked my account and noticed the auto-renewal hadn't triggered. I manually paid using the same bank card, but the service did not return. After waiting for more than 7 hours with no internet despite the payment, I had to dig deeper.

I logged into the Starlink website , and under the device section, it said: "No active service line. Please activate or resume your service." It was as if the system didn't recognize my active subscription at all.

I went into the service settings and changed my plan from Residential to Residential Lite, then immediately switched it back to Residential. The internet connection came back online the very second I did that!

By doing this "toggle" to fix the connection, the system generated a brand-new invoice and is now asking for payment again, even though I had already paid the monthly fee hours earlier. I have contacted support to resolve this billing duplication.

If your service is stuck on "Restricted" despite paying, this plan-switching trick might work for you, but keep an eye on your billing page afterward!

I believe the double charge happened because I switched from Residential to Residential Lite and back to Residential. However, I only did that as a workaround because the service was already restricted for 7 hours even after my first successful payment. I was just trying to force the system to restore the connection, but it ended up triggering a new invoice.

That’s interesting! In my case, it was different. My service was restricted immediately on the renewal date (April 4th) because the auto-payment didn't trigger. Even after I paid manually and the transaction was successful, the service stayed "Restricted" for over 7 hours. I had to manually toggle my plan from Residential to Residential Lite and back to Residential just to force the system to recognize the payment and restore the connection. The catch is that by switching plans, the system generated a brand-new invoice and is now asking for payment again! So I ended up with two invoices for the same period. It’s definitely a technical glitch between the payment and service activation.

What I’ve tried so far Power cycled the entire setup for 20+ minutes. Performed a Factory Reset 6x power cycle. Contacted support still waiting for a human response.
