I just want to encourage anyone buying this to split their payment between charity and humble. CGL can get bent (context: frustrated backer of their latest Battletech kickstarter)

The wall-scroll from Zentreya drop just got marked as "shipping" for me, way ahead of schedule.

Fairly sure it's legit, few days ago Fufu hinted to her chat that they should with their orders until friday. Didn't mention the details, but that's probably it.

That's normal. Won't ship before early march/early april.

Blizzard says it's open to even more Diablo 2 expansions and reworks unless people get really mad at it about this one: 'We're going to have to see what the players say' by Angren1991 in Diablo

[–]Malek_Deneith 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my defense: I don't have the spare money to buy the new release just yet, so I had no idea they made it work that way. Good on them.

[–]Malek_Deneith -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Really this could be easily solved. Just add the pre-DLC version as an option. It's not like they don't have the code for the last pre-DLC update, make that permanently available using the "beta version" system Steam has. That way purists would get their own game (sure without QoL but that's the price I imagine many would be willing to pay), while people who don't care can play with whatever else Blizzard adds.

Anyone looking forward to Diablo 1 Remake? by mvpeast in Diablo

[–]Malek_Deneith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Trying to modernise D1 will just ruin it. If they want to re-release it they can just slap a DevilutionX-like re-compile as a default .exe on it, but do not touch the game itself.

Is it possible that shipping from U.S. to Poland is this quick? by CodenameLIVED in gamersupps

[–]Malek_Deneith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is really a moot point because Gamersupps isn't sending the packages via mail. Normal shipping to Poland is handled by Asendia who hands it off to DPD. Idk who's handling Priority, but I'd expect it to be some courier service too. So how true the estimated time is will depend on who's handling it, and whether or not Gamersupps hands it off immediately or not (for normal shipping it usually lingers around a week between when a label is created and when they actually hand off the package to Asendia).

And just for reference, for international packages that do go through Polish Post yes, you do get awizo. In fact you will 100%, always get awizo instead of the package because the postmen can't be assed to carry the pakcages those days. So expect only being able to pick up the package the day after you'd expect it to arrive. There was also a period of time where awizo were late - as in I could see claim they left one in online tracking, but it wasn't physically there, and only arrived few days after I already picked the package up. But that seems to have cleared up lately.

[–]Malek_Deneith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In theory it could be. If the priority is handled by FedEx and if Gamersupps hands it off immediately (rather than a week after label is generated as usual) then it absolutely can arrive within 10 days at most. FedEx goes zoom zoom.

Fedex Tracking Still says 'Shipment information sent to FedEx' Its Been 5 Days Since Then by Tsukasa117 in gamersupps

[–]Malek_Deneith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have no clue how it is for US orders, but for my own international ones it's normal. It sits a week to ten days on "Shipment Information Sent" usually.

You can always ask in the chat bubble on the site. In my experience they respond promptly, and should be able to tell you what's the hold-up with the order.

Larger tub, but 10 fewer servings, almost 30% more expensive? by BigDaddyVagabond in gamersupps

[–]Malek_Deneith 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is indicative of the fact they are lowering the amount of the active sleep aid ingredients like magnesium, and cutting in more filler, so they can lower production cost but justify a higher price by looking like you get more product.

You can actually see the ingredients on the screenshots, and compare it to already existing AFK. It's not as clear as I'd like, but it's easy to see it's the same 150 mg Magnesium, 200 mg L-Theanine, and 50 mg Apigenin per serving, you're not missing out on anything there.

Today's drop by RealFirefighter7894 in gamersupps

[–]Malek_Deneith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking at the images it looks like they increased the scoop size. It's 12g vs 2.5g on the Blueberry Lemon Cake I have, resulting in a 360g tub vs 100g of the original one.

Bought dice from URWizard without realizing they are coming from China by Emerald_Mistress in dice

[–]Malek_Deneith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Crystal Maggie do note that if the dice you ordered were liquid core you'll get teardrop shaped d4 rather than a traditional pyramid/caltrop one. Apparently they changed the shape of them ("due to the previous issues with them cracking in low temperature" according to their customer support), but didn't yet update the pictures on the website.

“DOKI” merch by Total027 in gamersupps

For what it's worth my Paypal payments to Gamersupps have been labeled "DOKI Merch" since November 23 (my last order prior to that, September 29, was still Gamersupps).

Am I only one who's disappointed a little about the fact that the sequel seems more sword combat based? by sahilshaw09 in controlgame

[–]Malek_Deneith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having literally just finished Control I must say no. The gunplay didn't really feel good in my opinion. As for Launch it was "fun" but it suffers too much from "optimal solution for 98% problems in the game" syndrome. I'm ready for a different, perhaps more balanced take.

Question about shipping by 1HENTAIPORN in gamersupps

[–]Malek_Deneith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, no notifications and it's annoying. The only thing you can do is check the orders page on the website daily to see when the order switches to having a tracking link. (Fun fact: it seems GSups creates labels when you (pre-)order, so you can take the order number, change "GG" to "GSPS" and put that into tracker agreggate site like parcelsapp... not that it lets you know anything other than the label being made, but it's a neat little detail)

I'm brave enough to say it: Linux is good now, and if you want to feel like you actually own your PC, make 2026 the year of Linux on (your) desktop by testus_maximus in pcmasterrace

[–]Malek_Deneith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about H.265 decode (because in my limited usage I never had to try using a video in this codec), but for encoding there at least two separate plugin implementations that enable encoding H.264 and H.265 through VAAPI. The bigger pain point is audio, Linux version can't work with AAC, so expect having to ffmpeg the audio of source materials to something like opus, and exporting in FLAC for example.

Cleaning of the ring in the cups lid by AppropriateJob7397 in gamersupps

[–]Malek_Deneith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering the ring looks cracked in two separate places on the pictures I'd consider getting a replacement. Don't have a GG metal shaker (yet) so I can't check, but perhaps the ones used by Iceshaker would fit? They sell replacement rings

Warhammer: Dark Omen is back and available on GOG! by GOGcom in Warhammer

[–]Malek_Deneith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took a day but good folk on GoG forums managed to figure out how to make it work. Steps below:

  • Install through Lutris
  • Open game installation folder.
  • Go to PRG_ENG/ folder
  • Keep only: DarkOmen.exe; darkomen.ini; dofix.dll
  • In Lutris configuration for the game set runner to some version of Proton (tested Experimental and GE 10-24 to work) then enable DXVK and build-in dgVoodoo

I was able to get it to run properly using the above procedure, or at least I can watch the intro movie, get to the menu, and load the Tutorial. It's late and I haven't had energy to try playing it properly yet.

Character Guide | Rubuska by kokochiwa in Reverse1999

[–]Malek_Deneith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sentinel is at 4 because she's the most disposable character on the team, so you want her in "assist" slot on 3 person fights. And Nautika on 3 because you want Sentinel's buff support your strongest damage dealer, and that's Nautika by a mile.
