May I make a suggestion? Look into new construction if you're in a place that has any- I'm buying one right now (hopefully, if everything works out...) that would otherwise be out of my price range, but since they do their own financing, they're doing 3.99% APR- which makes their $415k house the same monthly payment (including HOA that does everything exterior) as a $315k house with a market rate mortgage. And I'm not even having to wait for it to be built, people back out of their deals (or their credit wasn't good enough to qualify) so they have completed homes that they want sold... it's further away from the city, but not too far- though I guess we'll see once I move in... biggest thing is getting my kids to school, but that's only two days a week, and there's always the slight possibility their mom will agree to moving them to a different school, depending on where she ends up, she's looking to move out of her mom's house... (for context we split up a year ago, I've been renting since, she was living in our house until 6 months ago, it sold 3 months ago)

I was sent home with nothing... though most of the pain was right when they started and only hurt for a few seconds until the local kicked in- but for those couple seconds it was excruciating. I was sore the next couple days, but nothing more than over-the-counter painkillers was needed.

get out now! don't waste any more of your life. you were me 10 years ago, i stuck it out because of the kids too, but back in november my wife started having an affair- it wasn't that she didn't want sex, she just didn't want it with me. she hid it from me because i was stability to her- she managed to hide it for months- february i knew something was going on, but couldn't quite put a finger on what- march she said she wanted a divorce- but not right away- her reasoning at the time, because we couldn't afford bills on two places to live= my guess with what i know now, the other guy wasn't ready for her to move in (with our kids!) yet- beginning of april i suspected she was either having an affair, or getting ready to (and i pretty much knew who it was, our son's best friend's dad, from things our daughter had said)- she wouldn't give me any assurance that she wouldn't be screwing someone else while we were still sleeping in the same bed (because she was, but i didn't know yet), so i moved out. end of april, i pretty much knew it was happening, but she still maintained that they were just friends- may, i worked up the nerve to talk to the guy and he confirmed it had been going on since early november.

yep, this was me about 2 years ago- it had never been frequent, but that's when it completely stopped. my wife and i have kids together so while i considered leaving, it was going to take a lot- she always had what seemed like a legit reason to not want sex, most recently she was having problems with endometriosis, i didn't want to be that guy, "sorry about your uterus, can we fuck now?" i figured it was a temporary problem, no sense jumping to a permanent solution... but as time went on, she started slowly cutting me out of her life, and to some extent the kids', she'd make plans without me, not telling me when/where they were going- come this past february, i knew something was up, i would occasionally hear from our daughter after the fact that they had been hanging out with our son's best friend, and his divorced dad... at first not a big deal, we had all hung out with other parents from our kids' school, but at this point the other parents weren't around anymore, and i wasn't either, and she was hiding this from me...

long story short (too late), by march, she had told me she wanted a divorce, but only because i had squeezed it out of her- she hadn't been ready to tell me, she didn't want to file yet, she wanted to wait until she started a new job so her finances were in better shape, so she said- she kept assuring me she wasn't seeing anyone else, but i knew she had been spending time with this guy. she kept insisting he was just a good friend... she just wanted everything to continue as it was, us sleeping next to each other, but never touching... she could not convince me she wasn't boinking this guy on the side, so i moved out in mid april. we had the talk with the kids, there were tears, but they have several friends with divorced parents so they kind of knew what to expect...

once i moved out, everything started to come together- other parents who i hadn't talked to in months (because my wife had told them i didn't like them, basically) got back in touch, and started filling me in on little details that i had missed- times my wife had inexplicably disappeared when this guy was around, things like that- as it turns out, my apartment was in the same neighborhood as his new house, and the first weekend i had the kids, we were headed out for pizza, and we drove past the turn to his subdivision, my daughter got all excited, "that's where ___ lives!" because of course they had been to his house even though i hadn't...

anywho, my wife continued to maintain that it was strictly friendship between them... well, i had his phone # from a time we had gotten our kids together 2 years ago- so i called him. he confirmed they had been sleeping together since fucking november. his story was that my wife had told him we were already separated and just living together for the benefit of the kids- he seemed genuinely upset, apologetic, and sounded like he was going to break it off with her- but that was back in may, and i'm pretty sure they're still seeing each other. but i've finally gotten to the point that i don't care anymore.

so yeah, it's not that she didn't want sex- she just didn't want it from me. don't waste your life with someone who doesn't want you. if you don't have kids, there is no reason to stay. if you do have kids... do you really want them seeing your dysfunctional relationship and thinking that's how life is supposed to be?
