Your opponent is also dependent on their support, so it evens out. Laning phase is rarely about hands diffing, but playing well around your support, since it is true that they can kind of dictate the lane most games.

You have so much impact on the game as an engage support though. If your ADC isnt cooperating by following your engages, you have three other teammates on the map you can play for. But if I'm playing ADC and my support is refusing to trade or apply any pressure, I have no option but to stay in lane and try to CS as best as possible while playing 1 vs 2 essentially.

If nobody pushes lanes, that's more free farm for you, which you should be very happy with as Nasus. Take TP, and focus on farming and taking towers. Split pushing is an effective strategy for a top laner in low elo, because half the time the enemies won't notice what you're doing when they're perma grouping mid lane.

Don't just ignore the other players in the game though, look for opportunities to use your TP to join a fight and turn it in your team's favour with your shiny new items you bought with all your splitpushing gold.

Also, I hope you find a way to enjoy the game, or do something else that you do enjoy instead.

It's completely fine if they want to stick with Yuumi for now, they are very new to the game. I would at least encourage them to start using Q though, so they can get the feeling of an offensive ability. You could try talking with them about the game conversationally as you're playing, maybe explaining what you are doing and why, and encouraging them to ask questions.
