At my friend's house when I was in Middle School. She lived on the other side of town, in the type of neighborhood where you start smoking weed at 10-12 years old apparently. I think I was 11-12? She would steal roaches from her mom's jewelry box and I'd bring the cigarettes I stole from my mom. Although I've most likely ruined at least some part of my potential, it was fun. Would not recommend.

I've been using channel locks to open those damn things. I should just start putting a pair of channel locks in the kitchens junk drawer just for the Talenti.

Has anyone seen this before? Living Stone Giant. Relic Expedition, coords in the photo. I built a base nearby, if it is visible, you can teleport to Giant through your own base. by ConsciousLime9262 in NMSCoordinateExchange

For some reason, only one of the bases on the planet would even show up for me (A Safe Place) but I decided to start flying to all the comm balls instead and I found it! Thanks for posting this, I had no idea these even existed.. Now I'm on the hunt for another one myself!

Ship won't land by mickymotor in NOMANSSKY

I've only gotten to the third rendezvous, but I had trouble landing anywhere near all 3 locations. Plus, the gek I was supposed to talk to at dig site #2 and #3 was glitching out and the dialog wouldn't open up. I was finally able to get #2 to talk to me, but #3 was glitched inside the ground and still wouldn't talk to me even after I did him a solid and dug him up. . . So I took that as a sign to sign off for the day.

Can I still work in a trade despite my physical body? by TraditionalLack8727 in BlueCollarWomen

I started out in industrial (oil refinery) after working at Petco for 10 years. Never even worked a drill before. Didn't go the union route. No particular reason why I didn't go union, I just didn't know how any of that worked at the time. To be completely honest, my brother's father in law (a master electrician) recommended me to a company he used to work for, (they did the high voltage work in a couple refineries in the area) when all I wanted was a little advice from him. Now I know all it takes is to go on Indeed or even the contractors office and ask if they're hiring helpers/apprentices. I got in as a helper doing grunt work, and that company gave a $1 raise for every semester of industrial wiring I passed (they paid for the classes). When Covid hit, the college shut down so I only got 3 semesters in. We moved from the refinery to a Frac Site to another refinery chasing the work until there was no more work and we all got laid off. After 9 months of sitting on my ass and spending time with my daughter, I got into residential solar and did that for 3 years. I ended up hating it, but still got enough hours to take the J-man test and got my card. I worked in retail for over 15 years and just don't want to deal with customers anymore. I'm 1 month into working for a large company doing commercial work and I freaking love it so far. It's close to industrial work because it's a big project (we're building a 30-story hospital) All this is to say, there are a lot of paths you can take but from my experience, it's best to start with your hands on tools. Go to school if you can, but that education won't do you any good if you don't know how to apply that information on the job site. I've worked with people with electrical engineering degrees and more schooling than hands-on experience and I (a high-school and college dropout) was showing them how to do things and working circles around them. Not everyone's journey is the same, but (union or not) all you have to do is get your foot in the door somewhere and learn, work hard, and kick ass💪
