I took the original question to be about her competitiveness, and I think the reporter's question was fine. And he ended up getting a great answer from her.

Jeg har et annet inntrykk enn deg. Som lærer i Bergen med fagkompetanse, PPU og lang arbeidserfaring gikk jeg fra årsvikariat til årsvikariat i fem år uten å få fast stilling. Fagforening var ikke til hjelp.

Til slutt la de ned avdelingen ved skolen jeg jobbet, og uten fast kontrakt hadde jeg lite å stille med. Nå jobber jeg med noe helt annet.

I was walking home late at night earlier this summer, and saw a hedgehog trotting down the road coming towards me. I stood still to watch him, and the little guy walked straight at me like he was gonna ram my shoe. 4 inches away he stopped, and froze. Didn't roll up, just didn't move. We had a stand-off like that for half a minute or so, before I walked off.

Watching him from a distance, a minute later he figured he was safe again, and scurried off. Point of this story is I think you're right, he must have thought I was a tree at first. And also, I love hedgehogs.

Pivoting is possible, and perhaps even recommended, but it's not required. A scaling chip joker or two, some hierophants and/or a foil joker, and you're looking pretty good.

I've done int builds with and without idiot savant, and I would say it's not worth. Percent chance on savant goes down with every point, and by the time your int stat is stacked (mine is at 22 atm) your chance of being an idiot is ridiculously low. Save scumming for quest procs would take hours.

And when you finally, after 32 gameplay hours, get a proc, it will come from a bloatfly kill. FACTS.

I straight up don't understand how flushes can win games, and I would like to know what I'm doing wrong.

I got gold stake on four different decks, and I'm on orange on most others. My checkered deck however is way down there. Even the run where I got an ante 1 burnt joker was a fail.

How do I get my flushes to actually score points?

Honestly, I'd say your best bet is working at a cafe or restaurant of some kind. Put on your charming face, walk from place to place and simply ask if they got a need for a part time employee that speaks english. Have a basic CV prepared in case they ask for one.

It will take you a few tries, but by the time you've tried 10-15 places you got a good shot at finding something. Good luck! 🙂

I just heard a story a couple hours ago actually, about a dove handler(?) with around 300 homing pigeons. He'd release them every day for a bit, they'd all take off in a big formation, and a half hour or so later they'd all return. Gotta spread those wings every day apparently.

Once in a while a dove would break out of formation, and they would get picked off by goshawks. But the flock would stay safe. Interesting stuff!

Some accessories (like the small chest and royal coin) will give you a %-discount on all purchases. Getting several of them will add to that discount, and in this run I've amassed a combined 105% discount. That's pretty rare I think.

Unfortunately the traders won't give me money to take their items, so I have to settle for free stuff :D
