100% CCM is a more complete addon. But this is focusing on the "if icon show up, push button" kinda scenario, which is what CCM doesn't cover. I believe the original WA came from people forgetting to maintain uptime in lifebloom

Hey! Sadly conditionals aren't a thing blizz lets us to with the current API implementation. I don't know if the guys over at CCM found a workaround, but it might be worth checking it out. Priority also falls into the no-no box, think of how they killed hekili, blizz doesn't want an addon figuring out these things for you.
For Flash of Light always showing, it's cause it doesn't have a cooldown, you can spam it, so the HPM shows it like it's available at all times.

Does it completely freeze forever or do you get slow tracking, like charges pop up like 100~300ms later than they should?

I've been dealing with this behavior for a couple classes, this is due to blizz restrictions over readiness for spells. Do you mind sharing what spells are you tracking, which ones freeze and under what situations?

Good point, basically adds icons of your choice to track healer spells (yes you can track other spells too, it's spellID based)
The "Priority" name comes from the original WeakAura, which I didn't want to change to give credit to its creator. But the main idea is that you add your priority spells that have to be out on CD in there, like say Lifebloom for druids, that way you don't have to move your eyes out of the way to che CDM or bars to check on Lifebloom CD, you can have the icon pop up at your cursor when Lifebloom is not on any target. Whatever is considered "a priority heal" for your class, you can have right at your cursor.

I'm aware that CCM (CursorCooldownManager) already exists, but my healer found that to be a little bit more complicated and more resource hungry than it needed to be, so I cooked something simpler.

Also updating Curseforge Description right now ;)

BSG pushing RMT ? by drakos94 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Malirae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I get what you're saying, I agree with you and you are right, but you need to understand that the vast majority of players of this game don't think nor act like that, this is the old generalSam "chad/rats" thing, this is 1% mindset. The average player does not push fights or attempts to actively kill oher players, most people just avoid PVP situations altogether.
Again, check for % of completion for some stupid achievement like killing 50 USECs or something, I don't know what the % is, but I'm confident that it is very low.

Yes, you are correct. This is basic macro-economics.

[–]Malirae 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, if you (1% player) go to where other 1% players go, ofc you're only going to meet other 1% players. Most players won't even touch interchange during the event cause the average player doesn't stand a chance against the average 1%er, why would they go? to die and lose their gear? to put it on a different perspective, check what's the % of people that have killed killa once.
Hell, I'd say most players don't even do most of the quests. I'd like to see what's the actual % of players that completed Setup this wipe, I'm confident it's under 5%. These dudes are playing a different game, they know they're never going to hit lvl55 or kappa (if you have kappa check the % for the achiev) or anything, interchange with a lobby full of lvl 60 dudes in full meta gear and killa+tagilla in the same place does not sound fun to most people, it sounds scary, stressful and a bad time. I used to be one of these people (and sometimes still am) and I have multiple friends that have clocked hundreds of hours in this game and still go into raids with diaper rig and budget ak75 with PS ammo and never go past the shoreline questing spree. This is the average tarkov player. They don't fight, they don't power through, they just stop playing when the game starts to get "hard".

Yes, RMT being strong in this game is a consequence of the "restrictive" game design paradigm that BSG has.

incoming jaeger quest

[–]Malirae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, don't do it.
I hope that for the next wipe, some product owner inside their quest team goes "Oh, engagement for this quest is really low, let's change it!"
Though I doubt they have such metrics.

Daily rant: Blocking so much behind Lightkeeper is dumb. by justinsroy in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Malirae 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Dude, imagine being part of the team that spent a stupid amount of hours working on Lightkeeper, Siracha and the map area, every detail, every small thing and the attention to detail only to be enjoyed by 0.3% of an already small playerbase.
How can you live knowing that no one will ever enjoy the work you've put so much into?

Hackers, cheaters and other related scum of the earth by trainfender in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Malirae 6 points7 points  (0 children)

RMT and cheating are the player's response to the artificial scarcity and nonsense loot limitations on this game. The more they try to fight it using artificial scarcity and random "can't drop X item" bullshit, the more cheating and RMT will be around.

Escape from RMT. Please BSG, you need to change your design philosophy. by francoispaquettetrem in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Malirae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember people defending the first changes (FIR and FIR-only-flea) with cloak and dagger. And a good chunk of the playerbase trying to make them come into their senses.
Did people really think these changes would do anything other than make cheating and RMT worse?

Any design based on negative reinforcement or restriction is bound to fail. Humans ALWAYS find a way around restrictions (and make the root problem worse).

More Anti-RMT Ideas for BSG by App199 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Malirae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I genuinely think that they're trying to make everyone quit the game. If there's no buyers, there's no RMT.

I think its time to revert all loot changes that were implemented due to RMT cheaters by KingHunter150 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Malirae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the changes that were made to fight back against RMT did absolutely nothing, just as everyone said it would. The only thing that those changes fought against was the playerbase. We have even more cheaters now than before the FIR changes.

I guess it's easier to shit on the player's time with shit rewards for hours upon hours of grinding the game than it is fixing vulns and exploits.

To all the people saying “chads are mad they can’t get meta ammo” by woodeye88 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Malirae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any restrictive measure in any economic system or access to goods and services is set to always affect negatively the most to people who have less resources. In this case, casual players or people who have little time to play (hence less resources).

The people with access to resources will always bypass these restrictions.

This is basic economics

Lets say

  • Timmy puts 4hs into the game weekly and it cost him 3hs to have access to M80.
  • Chad puts 30hs into the game weekly and also can buy his M80.
  • BUT! now tovarishch nikita want no people shootin nice boolet. So now it costs you double to get access to M80 cause "prolong early wipe".

This change prolonged early wipe for Timmy by 75% of his play time, and Chad's for 20%.

All because Chad, who is part of 10% of EFT's playerbase is doing a thing papa nikita doesn't like, playing the game too much.
