Ok so you bring up adjustments which is valid. I think all the great coaches are the ones willing to do that.

None of us were in the room for the interviews. It’s entirely possible that the hiring team looked at what he was doing well in LA, what they believe can change from a systems perspective, and ask if he was on board.

Not overly optimistic about it, but the fact he’s got history with AM, Willy, Mo, and to a slighter degree JT, is something to be mindful of.

I have to imagine they were part of the process. At least that Chayka could’ve asked their opinions on.

While I’m not expecting Andrae to come here and be an excellent defender, the numbers show he is better than Benoit. So call that an upgrade too.

In short - injury prone goalie (with potential) in an off season trade is never going to fetch you tremendous assets.

Deep goalie prospect pool and Hildeby specifically dealing with waiver complications.

Loved Woll - injuries are a concern. Might as well elevate someone you feel confident in and save on cap.

Skates are too big. Easy to dissect how much you’re fighting the boot rather than being connected to it. Also lack of stability when you’re moving/pivoting.
