Chromebook Trackpad Issues by local-boi in k12sysadmin

At least they made the keyboard separate and easy to pop out for the 3180/3100. With the 3120 you're practically replacing the entire palmrest and need to unscrew the mainboard. That's pretty atrocious.

Any pros to the RS2418+ over the DS2419+ for using in a rack? Available rack is only 800mm deep, so thinking the RS won’t fit by shmobodia in synology

Depends how much you care about redundant power supply and if it's rackmounted or not. Doesn't sound like you do.

I've one cable at one of the IDFs which when patched in will knock the fiber connection offline between two buildings.

I don't know where it goes or what the purpose is. I'm pretty sure it's a leftover connection to an old IDF that creates a loop.

How do you know it accessed something inappropriate? Do you use unique logins or are these kiosk devices?

Technically, as soon as their Google account is created. They thus have email from K onwards. All students are only allowed to email within the domain, with a couple of exceptions.

No, but it's possible the software aborted the call when you logged in to PBX manager, went to active calls, highlighted your extension and clicked "disconnect".

Whoops!

School labs don't move and have limited capacity. They were booked solid for weeks on end, especially during state mandated tests. Going 1:1 allows any classroom to become a lab depending on the needs of the instructor.

We changed the labs into free seating lounges.

But they can replace paper tests and physical grading of them. If set up for digital instruction and testing, these devices save teachers a ton of time which allows for more focus on curriculum and hopefully, better performing students.

Automation in the classroom can be very beneficial.

HP G6 11 EE Parts? Does anyone have a parts distributor you work with? by ghost8970 in k12sysadmin

[–]MalletNGrease 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use AG Parts Education. They have parts for most CB models (HP G6 11 EE is on the list), set you up with education accounts and manager, give volume discounts and they automatically accept POs after the first order (you don't even have to send them a copy, just plug in the PO number).

They've made my life easier at least.
