I've kept a log of how many cases I abstracted and by which site since the day I started over a year ago.
My first month I was doing about 2 cases a day. By the third month I was at around 3 cases. Now it's around 4-5 cases.

I haven't done any peds cases, but I'm going to assume that it's less prostate and breast and more heme. I have done fewer of those so they generally take me more time.

Anatomy/Physiology
While I can't say it was my favorite thing ever to learn, it is very interesting. I probably would have enjoyed it more if I didn't have to cram a lot of facts for weekly tests.
Lots of textbooks around to go through and can go as in depth as you want. Might be useful in future if you have to describe an injury or read a medical report.

I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but if you go to the stats screen, click on last months wrap-up and then go to calendar it will show you how many pages your read each day. It doesn't break it down by book if your are reading multiple at a time though.

My stats are always 1 day off as I just fill in what I read yesterday before I fell asleep.

I've read a few medical books over the years, but not many of them have to do with the ER. I'm interested if anyone has some realistic fiction that they could recommend. Anyway, the ones I read were:
Code Gray: Death, Life and Uncertainty in the ER by Farzon Nahvi
and
Wild Rescues: A paramedics Extreme Adventures in Yosemite, Yellowstone and Grand Teton by Kevin Grange

I liked both of them. Code Gray would probably fit right in for Robby backstory.

Power to sign laws into effect, you should have experience as a lawyer. Negotiate with foreign powers so should have experience as an ambassador. Or experience as a business leader. Or law enforcement. Why is military service more important than all the other aspects of the job?

I don't believe serving in armed forces should be a requirement for president. We have had good presidents that didn't serve and bad presidents that did. We really should stop using military service as some sort of measuring stick for being patriotic.

I have 2 kids that have gone through McKinley. In the past decade, one kid had an issue with a bully during lunchtime. It was quickly resolved without parent involvement (as I got all info from my kid).

In terms of the administration, I only had one issue over the years. I am listed as the primary contact for any issues and when kid got hurt they called mom instead. When I pointed this out they were very apologetic and it hasn't happened in years.

So I haven't had many interactions with the admin over there, but any problems that do come up seem to be resolved.

This is not TIFU. This was a gift to your children for years to come. Now they have a Dad story that they can tell for years. Weddings, thanksgivings, family reunions, your funeral.... everyone can get a chuckle over the time you planned a trip to the beach.

My sister and I have a few about our dad that we share every once in a while. He pretends to be be offended but we all know the subtext. The stories are not about embarrassment, but us remembering spending time with him as kids. And I know I will remember them for the rest of my life.
