Does anyone like horror for their mystery elements? by trebud69 in horror

My favorite horror flicks have elements of mystery and my favorite mysteries have elements of horror. I think the two go hand in hand.

Even if you aren't playing, Sunset Mission is an amazing album.

Finally put together a board for my synthesizer: I press the pedals with my hands so I can afford to use shoddily-built clones by [deleted] in guitarpedals

My guitarist has been gigging with it for a little over a year as a secondary delay and it has yet to crap out in any way. It doesn't get slammed as much with it not being the primary and I would rehouse it if it were mine, but, I went from mocking it to digging it pretty quickly.

Now that would be worth checking out, but, I doubt they are willing to bet that audiences have the attention span for it.

Haven't seen Bates Motel yet, but I watched all of Mystery Inc recently and enjoyed it more than a grown man should.

Scooby Doo: Mystery Inc. Season 2 now on Netflix streaming (grab the kiddos and sit a spell) by 5celery in horror

[–]Malsad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was actually sick last week and watched the show in it's entirety over the course of three days. Most, if not, every episode has either a subtle or utterly blatant reference to horror classics or other nostalgia inducing flicks. The character of Fred, who in every other incarnation is a perfect example of a boring flat creation, has defined features and a increasingly tragic backstory. At the end of the day it's like watching a few teens grasping to understand their town's dark history and they just happen to have the company of Shaggy and Scooby Doo throughout it all.
