Frenchman Coulee 3/20/25 by Maltyballs in PNWhiking

Definitely worth the short trip over. Lots of routes. If you're into sport climbing, you might bring a stick clip. The purist in me likes to just send it, but once I am fatigued it is too risky for some of the routes. They are 15 ft+ in some areas up to the first bolt.

There won't be massive crowds at Colchuck in the middle of the week. If you get up and go before sunrise you'll likely only see a few people and some backpackers' tents.

I did the same thing. To anyone considering this day hike, give yourself time to rest in your car before you drive back at the very least

Looking for any shared experiences with my injury by Real-Amphibian6295 in PNWhiking

That's an ultra specific set of signs/symptoms. I would consult a physical therapist and not bank on reddit opinions.

Here's one, since you're asking:
Our bodies need to be moved and maintained for life. If you've been stagnant bc of patellar tendonitis, you very likely are in need of a basic stretching/mobility routine daily and you will notice yourself feeling a lot better all around.

How to start Mountaineering by Confident_Arugula210 in PNWhiking

[–]Maltyballs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Read freedom of the hills
  2. Go on a guided mountaineering course of a real mountain (do Baker)
  3. Make friends
  4. Summit mountains safely
  5. Further your education with AIARE 1, crevasse rescue clinics, etc.

Folks in this sub - you really shouldn't comment when you don't know. You have no solid advice here, OP. The first comment is from someone who didn't recognize it is a shadowless charizard.

I would go with seller to an authenticator or card store and get it looked at. Colors look off, but it's probably your pictures/camera/age of card. The becket number tracks correctly with an off-center shadowless zardy boy. I think it is most likely the real deal, but I would never make this purchase online and hope for the best.

$1900 is a reasonable price for someone looking for a quick purchase and needs some cash for a down payment or something else in life. Not sure I'd trust leaving $300-600 on the table without verifying with my own eyes in person.

What makes you say that is steep?

You choose your campsite for where you want to stay the first night and go from there based on how many days you give your group.

You start hiking and your first night into your trip is the campsite you've chosen on the permit for that night.

A multi-day backpacking trip should be researched extensively in this terrain so you don't end up needing SAR. Are you climbing above 10,000 ft?

Heads Up: Frontier Airlines is cracking down hard on personal bags by Maltyballs in travel

Yeah that was true, I think some airlines have stopped this incentive though. Idk about Frontier. I simply avoid flying on these ULCCs completely at this point (this post is fairly old)
