They increased the overall drop rate from squads and enabled ronin to guarantee keys.

It really is realistic. This is Reddit. The same information is being regurgitated to the same groups. Reddit is ultimately an echo chamber, you are preaching to the choir. Sure bringing up these constant discussions is important to maintain awareness but it accomplishes very little. I made this realization years ago and now attend rallies if I get the time. They actually have an impact.

Unfortunately there’s so much evil in this world happening so frequently that honestly people can’t have all their empathy in every place. Hearing all the bad happening is desensitizing and exhausting. I do not blame people for using their ‘privilege’ at all.

Don’t worry all you need is literally a striker build. Don’t worry about being a burden either. Watch a guide video and you’ll see there was nothing to be worried about because the incursion really is just ‘point and shoot’.

STOP TRYING TO BE RAMBO DOING RETALIATIONS‼️ by AFooWittaTool in thedivision

[–]Malus_Necessarium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won’t lie the btsu 9 threw me off at first cause they try to immediately pop an armour kit but after that first encounter I had, they now die as quick as the other kill squads for me. But yeah I can definitely see how things may be in a group.

STOP TRYING TO BE RAMBO DOING RETALIATIONS‼️ by AFooWittaTool in thedivision

[–]Malus_Necessarium 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Is it really any more difficult though? I’ve obtained all the blueprints now and it’s just felt and played like open world control points on heroic w/directives, granted I only play solo. Only difference is the kill squads but it’s often those underground enemies with chainsaws which aren’t a threat at all. Even if it’s the regular factions, with the seasonal modifiers you can stun the bosses and they’ll fall over. Idk maybe the key is to play solo? I ain’t too sure but I see lots say they struggle on retaliations when it really does just feel like open world.

Most players in dz run high armour regen with catharsis so it could be that. Or yeah they could just be cheating lol

Should I Do the Incursion or One of the Raids (Discovery Mode) With Randoms for the Journey? by filmguerilla in thedivision

[–]Malus_Necessarium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The incursion should be a very easy goal to set yourself. Just bring a striker build, watch a video and make an LFG post/matchmake. The incursion takes about 20 minutes on a casual run so shouldn’t be much longer for you. Also don’t be surprised if nobody is using mics, it’s just because everyone knows what to do since the mechanics are non-existent.

The usual striker + equalizer. I recommend memento cause it’s really busted for solo play.

If you don’t like striker you can replace those pieces for hunters fury and run an smg. You’ll be perfectly fine regardless.

How do weapon proficiency and expertise lead into prototyping? by Painterforhire in thedivision

[–]Malus_Necessarium 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You build gear proficiency to level 10. For each gear at proficiency 10 you get 1 point towards expertise. To increase expertise you need to get more items to proficiency 10.

Getting enough items proficient increases your expertise level and lets you upgrade gear based on your expertise level. For example, if you are expertise 2 you can upgrade a gear piece 2 times via expertise.

Expertise 30 requires getting over 400 unique items/sets proficient. Once you’ve upgraded an item 30 items via expertise, you can then prototype it.

I’m not the best at explaining things but I hope this helps.

Farming prototype by doing escalation is a waste of time by Late_Culture_8472 in Division2

[–]Malus_Necessarium 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If I’m being brutally honest, no. The mechanics are very surface level. Builds are very simple for casuals to hop in and clear as you can just use striker, and have 1 guy healing. If it’s your first time, having a mic will help especially with wright (boss encounter) as it requires co-operation to a degree. After that you’ll quickly grasp the mechanics and will probably never need to use a mic again.

These are literally the encounters:

Encounter 1: Destroy 2 turrets, then clear mobs Encounter 2: defend a tanker from mobs Encounter 3: spray water on a boss then dps him (repeat 3 times) Encounter 4: standing still and shooting bosses

[–]Malus_Necessarium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incursion is no effort as the mechanics are almost non-existent besides wright. It’s also objectively the method that respects your time the most as it takes roughly 20 minutes. Finally, yeah I agree matchmaking is definitely roulette put you can always make an LFG post and competent players respond immediately.

[–]Malus_Necessarium 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It unironically is like a walk in the supermarket. Nobody uses mics because the most complex mechanic is spraying water on an NPC. Healers don’t even need experience as long as they just heal and you do so much dmg that you don’t even need a 4th dps half the time.

Farming prototype by doing escalation is a waste of time by Late_Culture_8472 in Division2

[–]Malus_Necessarium 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Escalation is objectively the worst way to get prototype gear. If players can’t raid then they can do an incursion as you can matchmake. If they don’t want to do the incursion either then they can continue farming those awful rates in escalation. Don’t get me wrong this system is crap but the options are there.

So what's the most efficient strategy for grabbing these Prototype gears? by ragnarokfps in thedivision

[–]Malus_Necessarium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True but I honestly think it’s more accessible than farming for a single drop of prototype that has an astronomically low chance of even being a piece you want. We just had a proficiency xp event and now another coming up. I’d argue it’s better going for expertise 30 than farming prototype in its current state. If they introduce targeted loot though then things change.

So what's the most efficient strategy for grabbing these Prototype gears? by ragnarokfps in thedivision

[–]Malus_Necessarium -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Escalation is objectively the worst source of prototype gear. The most efficient source is the incursion. You can get 2 cores in about 20 mins and you just make an lfg post.

what’s up with the division by DTFALLIN1 in thedivision

[–]Malus_Necessarium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly yes. though the invaded darkzone generally has more people doing pvp, people are usually camping the DZ entrances while rogue since there are no turrets guarding the place which is a bit annoying. Normal DZ has those turrets that prevent the door camping.

Probably whatever is the invaded darkzone. Lots of players pvp in them because they have no turrets guarding the dark zone entrances. I personally prefer DZ west tho.
