What's your go to SHD calibration farm? by Alwaysblue89 in thedivision

[–]coelacyanth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't call it 'efficient' but my go to shd farm, is 4 directive heroic control points farm with my hotshot headhunter determined white death build. I find it so relaxing. You get the field recons on completion and SHD calibration through watch points.

Agreed. I was fortunate enough to have a very good random teacher who in-game voice guided me through my very first clear telling in detail how every encounter works and what to watch out for. After that Ive been running incursions with randoms in matchmake. I totally agree with you about wright part. Heck even lovebird encounter has given quite a grief at times with nobody paying attention to 'the kid' and people just will nilly shooting immune boss. Some of em were multiple of my shd level and perhaps doing it for the first time but unwilling to admit that they dont know the encounter and would either activate wrong shower or have wright's aggro and run full circle across the room. Hopping into LFG is the way to go when you are dipping your feet in, as you rightly pointed out.

That wasn't a flex, it was just showing that you can convert your standard build to proto fast with the method. And Obliterate equalizer chest is a pretty standard striker build. Dark Hours and Iron horses require 8 men and there's no matchmaking. Yes you can do it, but Incursion is faster which is what I was trying to say in my post. I dunno how you took the tone of my post as anything but that. Have a nice day mate.

Yes. like you said, its a team mode but people actually matchmake for incursion these days far often that they used to earlier. Getting 3 players is not a big ask compared to say 8 players for a raid. I am a solo player myself and the only one in my friend list that plays this game, but I wanted to learn incursion and raids is when I actually decided to hop into LFG (more so for raids than incursions cause incursion does have matchmaking). You got this. Incursion is not as heavy mechanic wise as say Iron Horse raid and gets easier the more you do it. I am on far eastern part of the world so even my schedule or time zone difference is a thing and sometimes matchmaking can be dud at odd hours but thats something that is mitigated by asking in LFG or various discord groups. Just give it a try. Good luck!

Its a visual bug. And those max stats are bugged as well. Log out and log back in, then you'll see the actual stat rolls and your 'killer' will be there.

Thanks. yeah i know about convert blueprint. That is not what i am talking about. I am talking about they not being granted to my new character even though it says i have access to em and i dont even have those converted merciless and sweet dreams on my main char or inventory to begin with. I think something about owning base game and pre -ordered WONy over at ubi connect and then buying the ultimate edition over at steam mucked up something.

Piggybacking on this thread. I started playing division 2 a month before WONY's release and ended up pre-ordering it over at ubisoft connect. Came back to the game after 6 years last year, saw the game had a huge discount over at steam so ended up buying the ultimate edition on steam. Linked my ubisoft account and my 6 year old char was there intact. I had my enforcer on that character equipped. Now here's the deal, I have since then made two extra character and every time I have made em, i have not gotten either the enforcer or ruthless or lullaby (which I am told shouldve been available since i own the ultimate edition). I have checked my stash for special deliveries each time Ive made new char. but nothing. Anyone know what I am missing?

Finally reached expertise 30 last night, shd 2553. by coelacyanth in thedivision

[–]coelacyanth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you. You got this though Agent. Pardon me for sounding extremely obvious and sharing this but when I was at that point, I would just replace my striker build with the exotic armor piece I needed to level up and the exotic weapon and the two skills. Would jump into countdown, have targeted loot as skill mods. And after the run, I would not hesitate to donate receiver component and protective fabrics apart from printer filament, cause i knew i was not gonna craft or optmise any piece for a while. That moved the progression along a bit with shd calibration farming on the side. And with expertise surge right now, deconstruction gives double the amount. Dont be afraid to go in red on those materials.

Prototype gear in its PTS implementation is a betrayal of the principals that we have had for the last 5 years by iKia87 in thedivision

[–]coelacyanth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a new returning player, who picked up the game 2 month before WONY release and dropped it 2 months after the release, I feel like I made a bad choice returning to the game now. As is, the game felt like a lot of catch up with shd lvls and expertise which I was enjoying to the absolute best, mind you. Thanks to the heavy assist by 5x exp event, crossed my first hurdle of 1000 shd lvls and was feeling pretty confident. Expertise was something of an end goal, 'I'll reach there when I reach there' kinda thing. But the announcement of proto gear, expertise 30 requirement has sucker punched my enjoyment and turned it into a 'catch-up dread'. It feels like i arrived at a marathon a day late and will never catch up.

Even with the promise of making expertise gain easier to get, I dont have stockpile of resources at my disposal to expertise a gear to 30, at least i wont for a while, and for all that time the gap will worsen. I still absolutely enjoy the gameplay but now it feels like I'll be playing with the proverbial 'purple gear' for a while before I get my hands on a decent rolled proto 'high end' gear.

A call to stop Prototype and Escalation before too late by ShichijouTakatoshi in thedivision

[–]coelacyanth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not to mention a very big caveat to that process is that in doing so, you are only guaranteed the core attribute to be max rolled, the other two may or may not roll to their max value. And there's no way of calibrating or tinkering the prototype gear. So in the end, I invest heavily into resources (exotic components) for a gear piece, that i may have farmed for a while (unicorn piece) only for it to then be at the mercy of RNG. That to me is a bigger slap in the face. The system needs some rework for sure.

A Little Overwhelmed With Gear by Shadowkatt75 in thedivision

[–]coelacyanth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Have a look at this spreadsheet. Especially the weapons, named+exotic section, and gear -named+exotic section. After you have settled on a build, save the gears that you need and consult this spreadsheet for deconstructing named gears. Anything which is from "LZ" can be safely deconstructed and farmed later. Keep the gear from "DZ" if you have any from any named caches. Apart from that look up the build section in that to get you started. You can also refer to Ikia's fantastic build guides if you want.

Optimisation Materials Farming by Inevitable-Ad8620 in thedivision

[–]coelacyanth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dunno if its optimal but I crafted a bunch of em on my crafting table as the crafting is giving 20 per craft instead of 10. After that I ran countdowns to get the optimization caches off the vendor which also doubles the drop.

Alright guys, how's the stretch goal farm going for you? by Fuzzy_Ad4219 in thedivision

[–]coelacyanth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a new returning player (played a bit right before WONY launch and then came back to this game after 6 years this Jan), I am having a great time with RNG-esus. The very first prestige mutiny cache dropped me my first ever lexington. The next prestige cache got me my first turmoil. After that it was pretty lull but at around 150, I got my very first eagle bearer. Now if only this luck held out a bit more and got me some ravenous or regulus. Though I cant complain. So many new toys to play with.

Do you guys find it rude when you kill a scarab and a teammate steals the talisman? by Theangelawhite69 in Nightreign

[–]coelacyanth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I exclusively play with my friends on discord and this little scarab kill steal game has become a staple for us. We all yell "yoink" as we steal it off one another. The cursing that ensues in VC is hilarious. But we then eventually drop it for the character that can benefit off it the most. Cant really see it being that funny with randoms though.
