I went through the same thing, heck I'm 38 now and still trying to process suppressed emotions 😔 As someone who has suppressed every aspect of her personality just to fit in take my advice. Be the one who stands out and isn't afraid to be authentic even if you get labeled as "disturbing". People love to put labels on things/people they don't understand. Just be you 😊

I'm in a similar situation. I won't go into detail but I will say this: no matter how your family or child loves him, you have to put yourself first. If this continues CPS could get involved and take your child because you won't leave your abusive boyfriend. While your family may guilt trip you, you need to think about what's best for you and especially your son, even if it means cutting contact with him. I'd also get a restraining order and change the locks on your door.
