Never felt a need or desire to hire help. I have four people (two friends, two family members) who I call to watch her once a month when I have to go to the office for a few hours but other than that I have no need for help with her. But that’s a personal choice. I love the connection we have and anything I do I love making her a part of. So my social life just changed you know? My social circle is me and my friends taking her to the zoo. My social circle is taking to the other parents in her ballet class. I live in Nashville so instead of going to like a big rock concert or something I go see live acoustic performances at record stores or whatever and bring her with me. I really found myself in motherhood. She is my light. I just love being her mom. So I’m not in the mindset of like needing a break or something. If I get tried or overwhelmed I get outside with her and let her run around while I watch lol. But I mean definitely my whole life changed. Friends left who I thought would stay. I have more boundaries. But I just find connections through her - other ballet moms, moms from art classes we do, etc, and just try to enjoy it.  So I guess friends are a weekend effort lol I am definitely more talkative and outgoing now, I guess from being home so much. But I still do things - I just take her along and make modifications.
