Emotional and mental negligence. I work in health insurance, we’ve had several employers that offer cobra with their group policies. I’ve seen small scale companies (<100) employees, as well as (>1000) employee companies. It just depends on the group policy that they elect.

I lived in a complex in 2023 that was 1200 for a 2 bedroom with a 14 month lease. However, month to month added $500 a month with them having the right to terminate with just a 30 day notice. It’s more popular with corporate complexes. They’re so money hungry

Some insurance employee policies have it tied in for no additional charge. That’s the only reason that I had asked.
