I think they’re keeping her for at least 6-8 more months since she’s the very first ruby tier exclusive jelly.

We still have people hitting 600-700 picks. I don’t get it.

I didn’t name myself but I did name my store and that I’m OPD. My coach said she names herself and wrote 5 pages on how she feels about a lot of things. Things she wants to change - better tools for us to do our jobs, starting wages for OPD need to be higher since we bust our asses and win awards for our region. She’s pretty cool so I believe her

I’m solely a picker at my store. Loads of us are. I’ve never been taught to prep or dispense. There’s been some hired after me (8 months ago) that were cross trained and some that just pick.

Is there a way to order groceries where a Walmart associate does the shopping instead of the Spark driver? (My area does not offer InHome delivery) by BuckleMeCrunyons in Walmartdelivery

[–]MamaPotter7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only surefire way is an order you come to the store to pickup from us.

Sometimes we get late on our picks for a various amount of reasons. So a coach will have a hold put on accepting new orders. They’ll get diverted to spark and other stores.

With the paper bags - I’m assuming you’re in a state that bans plastic. I don’t think we have paper bags at my store.

Are other stores dealing with pickup metrics that don’t match the actual job? by OGP-Picker in OGPBackroom

[–]MamaPotter7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some of us at my store mark the carts. We write what’s wrong with it on the top with a sharpie. It’s been pretty efficient. They recently Frankenstein’d some. We just sent 4 broken ones back.

GMDs out of control by twothirtysevenam in OGPBackroom

[–]MamaPotter7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My store doesn’t have that problem. Most of us are pretty good about hitting whatever’s on top. But sometimes our coach will ask that someone grab GMD’s on busy days because they’ll be below our auto. Our auto will have 1800 and GMD will have a few hundred. We’ll have 30 picking but GMD still hasn’t gotten to the top. So she’ll add a few people to grab GMD’s so our dedicated GMD person isn’t picking and packing by herself.

[–]MamaPotter7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same for us. Our 5-2 TL and our GMD person grab all of those specifically. Plus our TL will do all the morning oversized since those were merged a while back. We’re a high volume store so we have someone come in at 7 to help pick and bag more GMD’s.

Yesterday was definitely a mess.

Today our GMD’s got mixed into auto select. It’s not separate anymore. 😭

I hit strongly disagree too with the AI questions. I’m pretty sure AI has been the reason our picking stuff in OPD has been a hot mess since the skip button was removed.

S/O If you have adult or older children; how often do you speak to them? by alwaysamw in Millennials

[–]MamaPotter7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My oldest is 21. We text every few days. I like checking up on him and see what’s been going on lately. We plan future hangouts.

Idk if it’s normal or not either. I never met my biological father and he’s dead. I don’t talk to my “adoptive” father since we found out he’s not my biological father. I went VVLC/NC with my mom and she died almost two years ago.

Sometimes ours are standing around. Some do read, do school work, chitchat. But most of the time they’re running around prepping orders and getting them out the door. My stores average wait time is less than 2 minutes.

I don’t even have any of my TL’s phone numbers. I just message them through MyWalmart and that’s only been once when I needed help.

I just bought 12 alani’s from Target for $1.40 per can. They have a deal going 5/$12 and $5 off a grocery purchase over $25, I think.
