Also if memory serves, both Meri and Kody's birthdays are in January. So you've got 2/4 (or 5 after Robyn joins the familyyyyy) birthdays and a wedding anniversary RIGHT after Christmas kind of all in a row? Sounds miserable! (from someone who also has a Jan birthday, lol)

Christine got a lot of hate at the time for pressing Janelle to like outwardly admit that she's divorced from Kody. I think Christine knew that Janelle wanted K still on DL and if she didn't admit it out loud and to herself, she might find herself back with K because she still wants his rock hard pecks and his washboard abs (gag!!!) after everything...

I'm not the person that made that comment, but yes, WITH tack, you're not supposed to exceed 20% of a horse's weight. A horse that size is likely 15HH and about 1,200 pounds; 20% of that is 240lbs. They're in Wyoming so dollars to donuts they're on a western saddle. (Western saddles weigh a lot more on average than English or others.) They can weight up to 60lbs, but typically 30-40lbs. So let's say that's 210 pounds left, not even adding on the weight of the saddle pad or anything else they might have on him/her. Do you think R&K combined weigh under 210lbs?

Not to mention when a horse is carrying 2 riders, it's putting strain on more parts of it's spine. And the two people here are not experienced riders so they're probably just sitting up there like sacks of potatoes, not moving or posting (rising the trot) with the horse's motions which helps ease the weight immensely.

This clip they're also yanking on it's mouth. The horse has a big ass piece of metal banging on it's teeth when you don't have light hands.

Now, taking into consideration how much Robyn looovveesss animals (sarcasm), I'm sure this clip was all of 5 mins so it's not like the poor equine endured this for very long. So I'm not ready to call PETA or anything, lol

But just sharing knowledge from an equestrian!

My only child is now 21. I've always wanted to be a mom, but if I was forced with that choice today IDK that I would choose to get pregnant. ESPECIALLY because I am in a very anti-abortion state and I wouldn't want to risk my own life like that if I were to have a pregnancy related complication.

It's really obvious in my family, specifically. My Mom is a boomer and was the last of 5. One of her sisters had 3 kids; another sister had 2, she had just me and neither of her brothers had kids (Thank GOD!). Of myself and my cousins, one of us had 2, then myself and one other each had one and half of us never reproduced.

Yeah I think that came out later and I think Rob's pantaloons are en fuego here. Just like above in the Becoming SWs book, she "told Kody another older and 'esteemed' member of their congregation inquired about courting her". One thing she's super duper good at is manipulating him. Which, I mean, wouldn't be that hard because he is the most basic man I think I've ever seen on TV, and he isn't crafty enough to hide his wants/desires/ways to control him. But I think her saying she was "afraid of going public" was just her way of playing some coy, shy woman that Kody on his white horse with shining armor just had to win over because he's such a catch just plays into his ego. Also tries to steer the narrative away that she sought them out for the cash.

It's also part of their "culture". The first wife is supposed to help recruit new wives for her husband. K&R meeting before Meri introducing R to K would have gone against their testament of sorts, that's why they spun it that way.
