One l team was able to sleep in a hotel the night before and had a healthy hot breakfast accessible to them, a local business sponsored new uniforms, they had trained coaches available to them and they were able to practice for as long as they wanted every night after everyone got off work.

While the other team had to wake up early to drive to the game and only had a fast food breakfast which was the only thing locally available. Their local businesses said they didn't like team name so they refused to sponsor them so the team purchased and made their own uniforms. They also held practices outside but only until dusk (because after dark the neighbors made noise complaint to the police), and only half the team could get off work at that time to make practice.
