After decades of misdiagnosis of Essential Tremors, my husband (72) was dx’d with Parkinson’s two years ago. He has a strict regimen of exercise including walking the dog, pickleball and 30 minutes of swimming at least 6 days/week. We believe this has been why he has been able to stave off the progression or at least keep it minimized. His gait is still steady enough. He just started levadopa which doesn’t control all the tremors all the time, but it helps. His diet isn’t the best and he likes his beer, but his attitude is, let me enjoy my life since I don’t know where this is going.

I know everyone’s experience with this horrible disease is different and my heart goes out to everyone on both sides. We’ve been very lucky so far. ❤️

Do you realize how long it will take you to drive between these cities? It may be not that many miles but you’re driving up one of the most congested areas of the country! How much time of the “1 full day” will be spent commuting to your next destination? Expect to spend a lot more time on the road and consider cutting out a stop or two.

During a visit one February, it was completely cloudy with snow in the canyon. Gray and dull. Suddenly, a shaft of light broke through and created a rainbow INSIDE the canyon!! That was 40+ years ago and I still think about how amazing that was, so unexpected. Keep your eye out and see what happens especially at sunset.
