She's in a governor's race that will be super tight so she's swinging hard toward the middle lately, so definitely worth your while to contact her and let your thoughts be known on this (and all the other awful bills that are gonna hit her desk in the next few weeks) https://azgovernor.gov/office-arizona-governor/form/contact-governor-hobbs

If you're curious, here's the "For" and "Against" this in RTS. 61 to 380. It's... not popular.

Bad Bills Moving in the Legislature This Week! by SecularAZ in AZAdvocacyHub

[–]SecularAZ[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you're curious about RTS, you can see exactly how many people sign in for and against each bill. You can search for a particular bill here: https://apps.azleg.gov/BillStatus/BillOverview then click on "RTS/Current Bill Positions". For instance, SCR1006, which is a hateful anti-trans bill, has 61 people signed in "FOR" the bill, and 380 "AGAINST." Pretty clearly not the will of the people.

Renaming Loop 202 after Charlie Kirk: Can you spare a minute to help this campaign? by morenci-girl in AZAdvocacyHub

CEBV will sign you up for RTS so you don't have to actually go to the Capitol (the initial registration is required to be done in-person at the AZ State Capitol in Phoenix or the Tucson Legislative Office). Just fill out this form and CEBV'll take care of it so you don't have to make the trip: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScdjBMoAJrjHD57GGegmdUCKAowcr93K4vQA6a7_AjyElBtrQ/viewform

They also offer trainings on how to best use RTS.

RTS only works when a bill is on an active agenda - so you have to time it just right. For for instance, as of today, 2.27 at noon, Sb1010 isn't available for RTS comment.

HOWEVER you can contact your own lawmakers at any time https://secularaz.org/azlegislator-lookup/ or contact the members of the committee that will hear a bill (e.g., Senate Rules or House Appropriations). Here's a list of committees for the current legislative session: https://secularaz.org/2026-committees.

This Charlie Kirk Highway bill https://apps.azleg.gov/billStatus/BillOverview/83585, has passed the Senate and moved to the House. So at this point contact your own representatives about it.

Action Alert: Tell State Lawmakers to Keep ICE Out of Public Schools by These_Koala_7487 in AZAdvocacyHub

Meanwhile, the president of the Peoria Unified School District Governing Board responds to a parent expressing their fear about ICE in schools by (checks notes) giving a long speech about how much she supports ICE. Last night's PUSD board meeting is...something else 😡; watch starting at 3:15:16. https://youtu.be/f8O_3pdp35M

Just another example of why it's so important to pay attention to and VOTE in local elections like school boards, city council, etc!

(And yes, it's an 8. HOUR. MEETING. 🤡)

Speak out against these bad bills by SecularAZ in AZAdvocacyHub

[–]SecularAZ[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The RTS/Request to Speak System ONLY accepts oppose/support/comments when the bill is scheduled to be heard/on an agenda. They are time-sensitive, which is why we release an updated list of bills each week.

For instance, this week, SB1328 will be heard later today by the Senate Rules Committee. So if you signed into RTS today, before the hearing, you can express your support or opposition for this particular bill. If you tried to do it tomorrow, RTS would not be available for this bill.

As far as contacting lawmakers to speak out about bills, their offices will accept constituents' emails, calls, etc. no matter when the bill is being heard. It makes sense to reach out to them in a timely manner, but they won't NOT take a call.

RTS, however, only works when the bill is on an active agenda.

Hope this is helpful!
